Don't know if anyone mentioned this before but on the streaming version from Movies Anywhere the sound effect where Maria slaps her side during the opening song is back. It is not on the steaming version on VUDU.

The Bridge on the River Kwai seems to be the oldest film to get a 4K release. The next oldest is may be Close Encounters of the Third Kind. So not much love yet for older films in 4K. 2001 is coming soon. Small pickings from the 1960's roadshow films.

Here is the English dubbed version of the Trapp Family German film for which the real Maria sold her story. The rights to do the Broadway "Sound of Music" were obtained from the German producers not Maria.
