I’ll have to respectfully disagree. Sinatra put this together. Dean certainly could have said no. They had been seen together at least 3 times during that 20 year separation but this was a genuinely warm moment. Those smiles aren’t pasted on. And yes it was about time. That’s my two cents.

Here’s something that never happened. Note last four lines (from TVGuide October 1960):

39 was the norm throughout the 50s and into the 60s but started cutting back over time to now where it’s 22 or less!

“Alcoa Presents” actually did quite well and ran for three seasons. One correction— that was season three of “Peter Gunn” in that Monday slot on ABC after moving over from NBC.

This item from the 2/27/1960 issue of TVGuide seems to indicate that ABC was renewing “Bourbon Street Beat” for a second season
