Is there any chance that Kino-Lorber might release the two W.C. Fields films "Million Dollar Legs" (1932) and "International House" (1933), possibly with audio commentaries?
YYou're probably
You're probably right, Tim, that both "Miracle" and "Hail" are still owned by Paramount as they released them years ago on DVD. Fortunately, I still have the DVDs, but it sure would be nice to have them on Blu-ray with commentary tracks. Maybe Kino can make a deal with...
Would Kino have the rights to the hilarious 1943 Preston Sturges comedy "The Miracle of Morgan's Creek"? It was originally released by Paramount, but may now be owned by Universal.
According to the information on the Amazon website for the upcoming Blu-ray, this new release has an audio commentary by film historian and Billy Wilder biographer Joseph McBride. It's one of the best courtroom dramas of all time, with a delightfully showy performance by Charles Laughton.
In fact, I think in the Phillip Kauffman commentary track he says that there are several shots of the TransAmerica building in the movie. Perhaps the company insisted on it?
As for the W.C. Fields films, I sure wish Kino- Lorber would release MILLION DOLLAR LEGS and INTERNATIONAL HOUSE on Blu-ray with commentary tracks. They're both classics!
Boy, I would love to see "International House" released on Blu-ray by Kino! VERY funny, especially the scenes featuring W.C. Fields and Franklin Pangborn.
