Good question. It is not like her term as the character's actor was lengthy. The James Bond character has been an established character for a lot longer than her Cara Dune. There has never been a problem recasting that character, so I do not see what the issue would be in recasting a character...
It's easier to fake a Dinosaur than a human. We've never seen an actual living dinosaur so we have nothing to compare our perception of how dinosaurs looked, moved and behaved to any real experience. We interact with humans every day so we pick up on cues that occur on a subconscious level that...
They can all fall victim to it. I consider CBC news to be a credible news source, yet they had a headline on one of their articles that read "Scientists detect Radio signals from an alien world". It suggests one thing, but when you read the article the actual description of the detection is that...
As far as.the CGI Luke goes, it did the job given their budget. It wasn't done as well as the Leia Organa one in Rogue One, but that film would have had a bigger budget than a TV series. They made the smart choice to keep their shots of the CGI Luke long, no closeups; however, even with camera...
The problem is is that the news media industry is so splintered and competitive for eyeballs they have to resort to publishing any news that will get clicks, hopefully, before a competitor does
Competition has basically done away with niceties like spoiler warnings. It is dog eat dog out there...
My reaction vis a vis Skywalker was
1) Who was it in the X-Wing?
2) Nah. They didn't?
3) It's Skywalker? How?
4) it's Skywalker.
However, I won't claim I was absolutely 100% sure until the actual reveal, just about 95% convinced. I never thought for a minute that it was Tano.
If that's true then why are there so many negative comments about Abrams "fan service" in TRoS. In The Mandalorian it's fine, but in TRoS it's Abrams stuffing in "fan service bullshit" as I have seen mentioned in the TRoS thread.
Relax. It was just a point of discussion. I was going by what I was seeing on screen not filling in a back story for something I wasn't seeing happening.
R2D2 and C3PO were the Abbot and Costello or Laurel and Hardy of the franchise. They generally were paired with each other more than with other cast members, so I think it is odd to see one without the other; however, it feels like there has been a tendency by creators of Star Wars content to...
It is not entitlement to receive an explanation and they don't need to. It would just be good customer relations to clear up an issue that is causing confusion.
Personally, I think the end credit scene is for a separate series or mini-series, not season 3 of The Mandalorian.
Exactly how does it make sense for the Mandalorian to go back to using "The Child" when he knows his name? They are in a group. All he has to do is tell them the kid's name is Grogu. End of story. The name was terrible and the show makers know it.
I thought it was interesting that they went back to calling him The Child. Even they probably thought the name chosen was stupid. The name reveal was the biggest slip up in this series, outside of the New Republic space station attack in season 1.
Also, I have to wonder how they are going to...
They can keep Rian Johnson away from this series too. I have zero desire to see any more of his Star Wars ruination and incoherent story telling. He should stick to things he is actually good at: films like Knives Out.
I don't know. There are people buying and putting Faraday cages around their wireless routers, so I guess I cannot underestimate the ability for real people to do dumb things. Sort of like the guy who put a kayak on his shed roof, then rode it straight into the groumd. :)
It wasn't the prequels that ruined his childhood. It was a bunch of weirdos that somehow equated him acting in a movie they didn't like with ruining their childhoods.
The more I look back at those films the more I think Lucas was almost prescient with them.
Yah. I'm posting using a phone. Bloody auto finish. I thought I caught them all. I'll have to edit that.
S&G is short for Short and Green: Baby Yoda. However, I 'm just not going to refer to him as "Baby Yoda" no matter what, hence S&G or possibly, now, Baby Yogurt. :)
See Clinton McClure...
I read that as Yogurt to start. He will now be known, at least to me, as the baby Yogurt from now on. :D
Tanno's appearance was better than I expected. I thought I would be disappointed with her look, but they managed to do a good job with her. I still prefer the look of the animated...
