If that's true then why are there so many negative comments about Abrams "fan service" in TRoS. In The Mandalorian it's fine, but in TRoS it's Abrams stuffing in "fan service bullshit" as I have seen mentioned in the TRoS thread.

Relax. It was just a point of discussion. I was going by what I was seeing on screen not filling in a back story for something I wasn't seeing happening.

It is not entitlement to receive an explanation and they don't need to. It would just be good customer relations to clear up an issue that is causing confusion. Personally, I think the end credit scene is for a separate series or mini-series, not season 3 of The Mandalorian.

Exactly how does it make sense for the Mandalorian to go back to using "The Child" when he knows his name? They are in a group. All he has to do is tell them the kid's name is Grogu. End of story. The name was terrible and the show makers know it.

I thought it was interesting that they went back to calling him The Child. Even they probably thought the name chosen was stupid. The name reveal was the biggest slip up in this series, outside of the New Republic space station attack in season 1. Also, I have to wonder how they are going to...

They can keep Rian Johnson away from this series too. I have zero desire to see any more of his Star Wars ruination and incoherent story telling. He should stick to things he is actually good at: films like Knives Out.

Yeah. I would have expected him to be smarter than that, but sometimes desperation makes people do things they might not otherwise do.

The story gets a big push forward. Lots of action but plenty of stupidity as well.

It wasn't the prequels that ruined his childhood. It was a bunch of weirdos that somehow equated him acting in a movie they didn't like with ruining their childhoods. The more I look back at those films the more I think Lucas was almost prescient with them.
