Yes. I found the Samsung glasses more comfortable.to.wear than the ones for.my Panasonic plasma and the replaceable batteries were a bonus. The downside of the Samsung's was the frame less lenses at the bottom. A person had to be careful not to put even the slightest flex on the lenses...
Doesn't seem to be any universal glasses that use replaceable batteries. I found one on Alibaba that claim to be replaceable batteries. Don't know how much to trust that site plus you have to order a minimum of 50. That was the only ones that I could see. The rest use chargeable batteries.
The low audio for some of the character dialog is on the 4K version as well. I had to turn on subtitles because, at some points, it felt like the characters were mumbling.
Yes. It is too bad that the films from lesser known animation houses get crushed at the box office, because people seem to only to go to an animated film if it has Disney, Pixar or, to a lesser extent, Dreamworks or Sony Animation fronting them. I thought this was a nicely done take on the story...
Well, I thought the title :John Carter" was boring; however, I thought the film got the short end of the stick. Criticizing it for elements that other films, comics and stories cribbed from Burrough's original stories made no sense to me.
Anyway, I have the 3D version; I'll have to sit down an...
I think a small part of it was the title. It was dull and unimaginative. I can imagine some people reading it and thinking to themselves that it made the film sound boring.
The trailers also may not have helped. They were not exactly exciting.
Not likely to see it anytime soon. The studios, mass retailers and manufacturers killed it by charging ridiculous premiums for it. The studios and mass retailers were especially to blame for it by charging a ridiculous premium for the content. Now they are doing a repeat with 4K discs. They...
I agree with you there. It is terrible. Not even 3D can save it. It isn't worth spending a dime on. I don't say that often about films but people deserve to be warned about that one, especially if big dollars are being asked for it.
A seller would have to pay me to ever watch it again.

Made On Demand. They started as burner copies but, apparently, they do pressed copies now.
They normally do these for shows that they think cannot recoup the costs of a wide retail release. They only make as many as they get orders for.
My 4K/3D combo of Alita dropped into my mailbox. I was going to cancel my Eiropean preorder and buy the domestic release. One thing led another and I never got around to it.
I'll have to take some time and look at both versions when I'm not overdosing on anime.
Well, I finally received the 3D Blu-ray version of HTTYD: The Hidden World from the UK. I haven't had time to look at it but I noticed that it has an ATMOS soundtrack on the disc.
So I received the "Mortal Engines" 4K/3D combo from France a couple of days ago. Just finished watching the 3D version. The 3D was variable on this film. Some of it looked pretty good while in other parts of the film a person forgot that they were watching a 3D film.
The film was okay, but it...
I was recently watching an anime series called "The Amazing Kotobuki". It is a Sci-Fi CG animated series about an all-female mercenary air squadron living in a world where they and air pirates use WWII Japanese types such as the A6M Zero and Hayabusa fighters. The story could have been better...
"Snowball" is a real method actor. Here he appears to be playing a mouse. Was this before his "big break" in "Secret Life of Pets" or was he just slumming. ;)
Sorry. I should have specified that I was referring to "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-verse.
I preordered it on the German site, but I'm thinking of canceling and preordering on the French site.
The French site isn't as convenient to use as other foreign Amazon sites. You know...The French. I'm...
Trying to figure if that 4K/3D combo on the French Amazon site is possibly the real deal. The placeholder boxart does not say anything about a 3D disc, just the 4K + standard blu-ray.
 I totally agree with you there. I sent them pictures of the problem which wasn't easy to do. They tried to weasel out of covering the warranty by claiming I had damaged the screen while cleaning it. It was total BS. Anybody looking at those pics would have been able to tell that the...
Just an FYI for those who own LG OLED sets. If you wear prescription lenses, the clip-ons that come with set will work for RealD theatrical releases as well. I used them at the theatre all of the time, until I had to send them back with the 4K set after the screen started to bubble.
