    The Dark Knight (2008)

I'd think that was funny if I didn't despise the man so much.

How can you know what he thinks? If Nolan had preconceived notions about the characters then he probably wouldn't be interested in making any sort of BATMAN film. He has made two of these films already so he has to be finding something in the characters and situations that he enjoys portraying...

That was covered. The Joker said that he would detonate the bombs if anybody tried to leave the ships.

    The Dark Knight (2008)

Wayne was starting to step forward and reveal himself, but Dent was too quick. Wayne then allowed Dent to take the fall. I don't think Wayne knew anything about the plan to capture The Joker. I think that plan was cooked up between Dent and Gordon. They just counted on Wayne/Batman being unable...

    The Dark Knight (2008)

I've seen it twice. It is still good the second time around, but the holes in the hospital and Ferry scenes become more obvious. In that final scene where Batman is ranting at The Joker, I still couldn't help but picture a cartoon of a ham replacing Christian Bale.

I also found the antics of The Joker to be a little more humourous on the second go round. Yesterday was the first viewing for my friend. His impression was that the characters...

    The Dark Knight (2008)

I'm not criticizing anybody who thought he was "funny". I just used the example of some people in the audience reacting that way as a counterpoint to my own reaction during that scene. If people handle something like that better by laughing at it then it is no big deal. In my case, my...

    The Dark Knight (2008)

A couple of observations: It felt long. BB was long too but when I saw it in the theater I was never as conscious of its length as I was with TDK. Maybe it was due to the pacing in TDK. It just crashed along from one massive set piece to another. TDK had more climaxes in it than a ten dollar...
