I couldn't wait to see how Smaug's scenes were in 3D and they did not dissapoint. They did a fantastic job.

I personally hope that when disks are large enough, we will get a mega edit of LOTR which would make it a 12 hour epic (and do the same with the Hobbit Trilogy). And then, to go all out, they could combine both trilogies into one truly massive move to have a Middle-Earth Epic 20 hour-ish saga.
