Anybody know if the HD Raintree Country as seen on TCM is still available for streaming from any source?

Guess there is a BIG problem with my on demand from Spectrum. It looked so bad I couldn't watch it. Not sure what I could have done with settings. I don't have a DVR at present, so it was a horrible situation.

Sadly, I missed the TCM Raintree broadcast. I did pull it up from the free TCM "on demand" option. What I found was a horrible 4:3 "widescreen" mess with massive black borders as one finds on many cheapo pseudo-scope DVDs. Just wondering if anyone knows about an existant true HD streaming option...

And it would be too financially challenging to burn a run or so of this hypothetical restored archival print, already digitally scanned for streaming sales, to blu-ray disc for fans of the film to purchase? I could understand this with the likes of From Hell it Came but not with Raintree County.

A sometimes optimist, I hope and pray that the "new" gang from AT&T will realize that what they have crowding their vaults and utilizing the millions they have in scanning and restoration devices would result in more profits than simply sitting on their asses and letting classic elements...

Again, I guess I'm just puzzled why "did what they could" with Giant is "okay" but a damned nice looking Raintree County (to my eyes on an HDTV broadcast) is out of the question. With "not having it at all" is obviously the only alternative, sadly I end up pretty disgruntled.

Just wish WB Archives would give it a whirl in one way or another. All this about their releasing only pristine material is utter bull. After all, I bought the almost unwatchable Swordsman of Siena from them. Compared to that this Raintree Country broadcast was jaw dropping.

Excellent point, but I just wonder why there isn't a good MOD manufacturing setup for blu-ray. I've gotten burned BDs of friends home movies and they seem to play just fine. Still, I DO have an Oppo, which plays anything you throw at it.
