I know I've asked this question before, but I seriously don't remember the answer. But when it comes to sound quality and fidelity, is the absolute best source the master tapes? Would they beat any vinyl, CD, SACD, etc hands down? Just curious. :)

So far, I've been impressed with Tommy, Madman Across The Water, and Captain Fantastic and the Dirt Brown Cowboy. The Dylan's are a little disappointing.

Anybody have any comments on Captain Fantastic and the Dirt Brown Cowboy Deluxe edition or The Who's Tommy Deluxe Edition?
I just recently purchased a Sony PS3, and I'm planning on upgrading my 7+ year old receiver to a Pioneer Elite. Having said that, I think I can enjoy SACD's for the first time. Are there any particular settings I want to pay attention to to maximize my audio enjoyment?
It sounds slightly better, and I only double-dipped because I love AC/DC. I kind of wished it was 5.1 like the other DVD album I have (Fleetwood Mac Rumours).
I'll do a more comprehensive comparison later.
