Gee, asking for much? :) Does anyone really know what WB holds for this HB material?
…and let's not forget 1960's THE BUGGS BUNNY SHOW prime-time ABC material, too. The shows in their half-hour format - The intros, the wrap arounds, the edited versions of the cartoons, etc - I keep hearing...
Harmon took advantage of Stan (and Olie's widow) by claming the rights to the cartoons also gave him likness and licencing rights across the board beyond the cartoons (Barring the shorts/films) that Stan did not fully asigned to.
According to Stan's letters, he wasn't to receive revenue till...
That Theory doesn't make sense. I doubt that they would hold back a single show or two that WERE cleared - they could have found a way to fit an additional episode or two on a disc.
Is it hard to believe that the Conway,Diller and Duncan episodes could not be cleared? Either they (or their...
As mentioned in the past, many times FILMATION series based on licensed properties would revert to the rights holder - it was an affordable way for FILMATION to get the rights/enter co-production deals.
"Jeannie" is owned by Sony (as is Partridge Family 2200 AD) as the rights reverted back to Columbia Pictures Television them.
"My Favorite Martians" is either still owned by Filmation (It wasn't an HB toon), or reverted back to Cherok Productions.
Animated Shazam! is Most likely a separation of rights situation - Classic Media has Television rights, and Warners might hold Video rights
As for the live-action clips on YouTube, those were mis-autotaged - I've seen Columbia Theatrical Mr.Magoo Cartoons tagged, and those are still owned by Sony!
Actually, CLASSIC MEDIA still owns the SHAZAM! Animated series. It's one of the few licenced properties Filmation did that they retained distribution and video rights to.
Those would be a rights clearance nightmare - you're talking shows from several different production companies, add to that some were licenced properties and it would be difficult, if not impossible.
