A couple more Biblical movies I picked up from iTunes are made-for-TV films from the 1970's - The Story of Jacob & Joseph, and The Story of David. I'm not sure about the running time for Jesus of Nazareth. The first Blu-ray release was missing the part where Judas leaves the Last Supper and...

Ride Lonesome is there. Do you have the Criterion Randolph Scott set?

Thanks for the heads-up. I didn't know there was a digital version of Cromwell. I will stay well away from that and stick with the Koch Blu-ray.

While not as good as the stage version my wife and I saw, the Royal Albert Hall performance is the best version on video IMO. The staging is somewhat hampered by the in-the-round configuration of the Hall, but it is miles better than the movie, and the two leads are both great.

I knew Vudu broke them up, but I did mis-remember iTunes on the Apple TV. I fired up the Apple TV last night and took a look at Alias. Because I bought it as a series, it was indeed all stuck in one collection. I think that if I had ordered it as seasons I could have kept them separate (but...

In my experience, if you watch a an iTunes series via an Apple TV device, it will separate the seasons as Robert says. However, when I watched the last two seasons of Alias, I watched them via the Apple TV+ app on Roku rather than my Apple TV player (which was in another room) and they were not...

Yes, but the titles I only kinda sorta want are much more affordable this way. Thanks for the heads-up.

That is a great collection. Theater of Blood is very clever horror thriller with touches of humor, and really good Price performance. It's about a vainglorious Shakespearean actor (Price) who supposedly kills himself after failing to win a best actor prize which is awarded by a guild of...

Ron, 7 Men From Now is one of the six Randolph Scott films directed by Budd Boeticcher which are now considered minor classics (a 7th film -Wesbound is only okay IMO). Scott was in his late 50's at the time he made those films, and he brings a lean, hard-bitten, tough quality to westerns which...

Glad to see so many westerns today. I picked up The Violent Men, Gunman's Walk and 7 Men From Now.

I loved the Paltrow version. I liked the entire cast, and the music score by Rachel Portman was beautiful. I think I'll take a chance on the iTunes version as the non-anamorphic DVD is awful.
