I was looking at XTZ speakers as a possibility for my situation mentioned above, but they are rebuilding their online store for the USA, and it's been weeks without any change.

I appreciate your input, Dave. A lot of what I had been reading was prioritizing Atmos, but I’m not against rear surrounds too. I was just concerned the space couldn’t support 7.1.4 or 7.1.2. I’d love to hear any other thoughts you might have regarding speakers, options, etc.

Sorry for the confusion in my wording, @theJman. I was thinking 5.1.2 or 5.1.4 would be better than moving to a 7.1 system. And that the size of the room and layout would prevent or 7.1.2/4 from working very well.
