Nevermind :) On my iPhone Apple Music shows those songs aren't available in the album. But because Music on the dekstop is kinda garbage, it just acts weird instead of telling the user that the songs aren't availble. :/

If you’re already turning on the full system to use a streaming box to play music, then of course choose aTV (vs Fire vs Roku) to play your Apple Music. But I can see how someone might want to fully initiate music from an iPhone and not have to interact with a streaming box at all.

That shows you’re playing from your aTV, which does Atmos. You’re not using AirPlay from your iPhone to the Denon.

I don’t think Atmos is supported over AirPlay. None of the Apple support docs I found give it as a means to do Atmos.

I gave Spotify a quick look. The web interface worked fine. I would have tried it more seriously if Apple Music didn’t work. Either way, I had no interest in free ad-supported. For work, if I’m listening to music, it’s to help get into a work flow and ads kill that.
