I believe it was broken into two, so one disc wouldn't be top heavy with content/information compared to the other discs in the set. I understand this was done so as to not sacrifice picture quality. I do not believe any part of the special was edited out, but then again, I won't be ordering...

Thanks for the descriptions! I'm really psyched for this release. Glad to see "What's Opera, Doc?" and "One Froggy Evening" included. Great mix of stuff and it definitely looks like they've saved a lot of stuff (Tazmanian Devil, etc.) for a third volume with the potential to be just as great...
