Ed - AFTER you are done.... That will be one SERIOUSLY broken in subwoofer... I don't suppose you will still have the STF-2 there for some blind testing ?

The logarithmic nature of sound can drive you nuts.... Looking at your example... let's say one dB-12 can "do" 115 dB at one meter... and one TV-12 "does" 117 dB ...And we use the idea that 2 TV-12's will be 4 dB louder than 2 dB-12's ... and that each doubling of co-located gets a 6 db increase...

Frank... How big is your room ? I am trying to picture 16 x 12 inch high output drivers... yikes ! You are going to be really happy with the B4+ ... and what the guys have been talking about regarding the finish on the PB2-Ultra also goes with the B4+ ... just fantastic !

In case noone noticed... Mark Seaton had his Contrabass subwoofer tested by Ultimate A/V ... where objectively it was among the top subwoofers tested. It delivered roughly 115 dB outside... at 20 Hz/one meter... Impressive performance, to say the least. Ed, you just got Kudos from Mark...

Ed - It may be a while yet... I need about 3 more weeks with the Ascend 170's... then will get to work on really torturing the B4+ ...
