My guess is that they'd have to get the rights to some of the music heard within each episode, and it's another videotaped series, too, which makes it kinda hard to accurately do for Blu-Ray.

Which depends on if they still have the original 35mm studio masters, as opposed to the 16mm or the 1" videotaped dubs used in syndication and cable reruns.

As to what Paramount Global (the new name of CBS and ViacomCBS since 2021) owns, I'd ask for:
Barefoot in the Park (1970)
Funny Face/The Sandy Duncan Show (1971-72)
Me and the Chimp (1972)
Love Story (series) (1973-74)
Paper Moon (series) (1974)
Kate McShane (1975)
Serpico (series) (1976-77)...
More than that, what I want is for all of the inbetween bumpers and opening/closing teasers to be restored, which include but are not limited to:
a. "(name of show) will be right back/return in a moment."
b. closing tag
c. 30-second preview of next week's episode.
For example, the season 2...
My want list update of DVDs:
TV SHOWS
December Bride (1954-59)
The Millionaire (1955-60)
Trackdown (1957-59)
My Three Sons (the color years, 1965-72)
Ben Casey (seasons 2-6) (1962-66)
Breaking Point (1963-64)
The Cara Williams Show (1964-65)
Slattery's People (1964-65)
He and She (1967-68)...
Part of that has to do with the "first trial airdate" for the finished 35mm film print. These three were test-screened to NBC execs on respectively:
"The Gamesters of Triskelion" - test-screened on 12/14/67
"A Private Little War" - test-screened on 12/5/67
"Bread and Circuses" - test-screened on...
Right, the last three season 2 Star Trek episodes to carry the Desilu tag (when originally on NBC) were:
2x16 - "The Gamesters of Triskelion" (60346) (1/5/68)
2x19 - "A Private Little War" (60345) (2/2/68)
2x25 - "Bread and Circuses" (60343) (3/15/68)

I forgot to mention that Season 8 of My Three Sons (and also season 2 of Family Affair) was also the first season to be filmed at the CBS Studio Center (aka CBS Radford Studios because of its address: 4024 Radford Avenue) at Don Fedderson's suggestion because of Desilu (the studio that was used...
Speaking of My Three Sons, I hope they will do the color years on CBS (1965-72), which consisted of 196 episodes and breaks down as:
Season 6 (1965-1966): 32 episodes
Season 7 (1966-1967): 32 episodes
Season 8 (1967-1968): 30 episodes (moved from Thursday to Saturday nights)
Season 9...
You know, what you say about both b) and c) may also be the reason why certain similar mid-show bumpers and closing previews are also missing from many DVD releases of cartoon series (1970s-'80s Hanna-Barbera, for example). That was especially the case for such cartoons like The Perils of...
To speak further of The Brady Bunch they do need to include the following on all 117 episodes, where applicable:
a. The IN COLOR intro. Seasons 1-2 do have this before the opening credits on the DVDs, but it is those for seasons 3-5 that are still missing. Seasons 3-5 had a different shot of the...
I do believe they should still have the 35mm prints and do believe they should remaster them for HD and 4K. But, I do know during the show's original run on ABC that it got mainly critical reviews and was never in the Top 30 (season 3 came closest, ranking at number 31, but you know what I...
Speaking of what's owned by CBS, I think they need to cut a deal with the Warners to allow a DVD of The Little Rascals 1982-83 cartoon series to be released. That is, King World had the rights to The Little Rascals as a whole at the time the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series was made.
Here is...
They need to look back at the original 35mm masters for Mission: Impossible (1966 TV series) and Mannix, in terms of reinstating the original Paramount Television closing logos, such as...
as seen on:
Mission: Impossible S03 and Mannix S02
as seen on:
Mission: Impossible S4 E03 & E04 - "The...
