139 episodes and two TV movies would be better served on 22 discs...
Season 1 - 30 episodes - five discs with six episodes each (discs 1 to 5)
Season 2 - 31 episodes - disc 1 with seven episodes, discs 2-4 with six episodes each (discs 6 to 10)
Season 3 - 26 episodes - discs 1-2 with seven...
I thought VEI's treatment of The Bad News Bears (1979-80) looked great, even with the number of episodes per disc (12 on disc 1, 14 on disc 2). I thought that, with the second disc, that the episodes would look really muddy as a result of the number of episodes on this disc.

While I know in most cases either six to eight half-hours or up to four one-hours is recommended for best picture quality per disc, I wonder what the minimum number of such episodes is?
~Ben
Now I feel better! This season is already airing right now on Me-TV!
I also hope the Complete Series box will include the TV movies broadcast on CBS from 1987-94.
~Ben
So, too, did VEI (Visual Entertainment, Inc.). But then CBS DVD itself began to wise up on logo replacement, at least on those titles they release through its MOD program.
~Ben
I do hope Shout! Factory will pick up on these other series...
Petticoat Junction (1963-1970; in particular seasons 4-7)
Call to Glory (1984-1985)
Brooklyn Bridge (1991-1993)
The Banana Splits Adventure Hour (1968-1969)
The Flintstone Comedy Hour (1972-1973)
~Ben
If they can do this, here's a list of my most-wanted shows for them to look at...
Warner Archive
The Flintstone Comedy Hour (CBS, 1972-73)
These Are the Days (1974-75)
The Mumbly Cartoon Show (1976)
CB Bears (1977) (complete 1-hour series)
Skatebirds (1977) (complete 1-hour series)
The Three...
MOD is also the only suitable way to sell on DVD, the following titles I want:
Out of the Blue (1979 TV series)
Working Stiffs (1979)
Struck by Lightning (1979)
The Associates (U.S. TV series) (1979-80)
Goodtime Girls (1980)
Madame's Place (1982-83)
Star of the Family (1982)
The Renegades (1983)...
Yes, I do hope they will resume Petticoat Junction at this point. That, and the remainder of its sister show The Beverly Hillbillies (season 5 being the latest release on DVD), as well as...
1. The Cara Williams Show (1964-1965)
2. Slattery's People (1964-1965)
3. He and She (1967-1968)
4...

This news story in the above link about the Andy Griffith theme tune, "The Fishin' Hole," may be one indicator as to why we're not yet getting The Andy Griffith Show on...
Right... but among them, another entry from Hanna-Barbera's 1962-63 New Cartoon Series is among the new releases in July: Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har-Har! I only first saw this cartoon in 1994 on The Family Channel and then on Cartoon Network mere months later.
~Ben
Among them... Paw Paws (1985-86), which was another one of the shows in the first lineup of the Sunday morning syndicated staple called The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera. It was Scatman Crothers' last contribution for the cartoon studio. With this release now on DVD, only Yogi's Treasure Hunt...
While the very early half of BBVH only had an in-credit mention for Paramount, the later half of the run actually ended with this Blue Mountain...
~Ben
And did you know that the working title of this series was Here's Johnny? Johnny was the name of the dog used to portray Boomer, but the title of the series was changed because it was associated with a catchphrase by Ed McMahon to introduce Johnny Carson during his time on The Tonight Show.
~Ben
Here's Boomer (1980-82)... wow, and they're selling both seasons separately at the same time! Gotta get these two soon! I just hope the 1979 Blue Mountain is intact on season 1, and the '81 version on season 2!
