I have only seen 5 of the BP nominees since I finally watched CODA last night. I really enjoyed the movie and it made me tear up a couple times. The scene at the concert when they mute all the sound was powerful. Then, not long after that scene, when her dad ask her to sing the song to him...
Mr. Smith better not visit Reddit or he'll be handing out slaps all day long. Here's a couple tame jokes I saw and found amusing.
"Why did Smith use an open hand slap? Because paper always beats rock."
"How do we know the slap wasn't staged? Because Smith didn't cast his son in it."
:)
Or just scrap all the stupid scripted segments completely and bring back all the awards live. With out the corny filler, the show would be under 3 hours.
I hope it was just the slap because they cut 8 awards this year. If the Academy thinks that may have improved ratings, who knows how many they will cut next year. I don't know why I care though as I didn't watch the show. I will not watch again until they bring back all the awards. I think...
I had no idea she was sick until this event. I have honestly never heard the term Alopecia so I googled it and I struggle to call her his "sick wife". Alopecia is hair loss, that's it. It's not life threatening and doesn't have other side effects. John Hopkins and Wikipedia don't make much...
I understand all this but, IMO, that doesn't excuse walking on stage and striking someone.
There are other, more sensible ways this could have been handled by Smith. Violence, no matter how minor, should never be the answer. Smith could have approached Rock any number of ways outside of the...
After the Jada joke, it briefly cuts back to Will Smith who is laughing (or smiling). It cuts back to Chris Rock who starts to move on to his next line but then Will Smith walks on stage.
He didn't just walk away. He got back to his seat and started to yell profanities at Rock. Smith acted like a whiny toddler.
I don't care how bad, insensitive or insulting a joke may be, nothing excuses walking on stage and striking someone. That's unacceptable behavior. If it was me, I...
I haven't read most of the post so I do not know which way the wind is blowing. I saw the report on the news this morning about what happened and watched the uncensored clip on YouTube. I didn't watch the show, I don't like how they continue to move awards off of the broadcast trying to appeal...
"We Don't Talk About Bruno" topping the billboard charts and not getting a nomination? Seems like they missed the mark there and it would probably have won if nominated.
I have only seen 3 of he BP nominations nd I really enjoyed all 3. If I was voting, it would be a tough choice between...
