I'm getting confused about the expectations of booster shots. I'm coming up on the eight month mark, but it's been a while since they've said anything about booster shots for folks in relatively good health under a certain age.

I feel like this is a detail that the "but the vaccinated people can catch it too so what's the point" crowd is missing.

To be honest, it's hard to say because they made me shove it up there myself. And no one seemed to be happy to be there that day, probably because it was a Sunday morning at Patient First. (COVID came back negative, but I had pneumonia.)

I was vaccinated long before I was required to by work, but even if I wasn't, it would be a pretty easy decision for me. Those two shots were nothing. But man, shoving the swab up the nose sucks.

The hypothetical is that they'd send someone to prison for faking a vaccine card, and then start championing for them to be released so they didn't get COVID in prison.

That's probably not too much of a deterrent for some folks, because they'll look at the push last year to let a bunch of inmates free so they wouldn't catch COVID in prison. Heck, even I'm getting a chuckle from that circular logic trap.

I read an article with a football player who was basically saying that they didn't feel like they needed the vaccine because they've gone this long without getting COVID, and he'll worry about treatment when he does get sick. Maybe we need an education campaign about what preventative medicine is.
