I'll repeat why I don't think Kobe will go to the Spurs. Kobe wants to be the man, he wants to be the man more than he wants to win, and if he goes to San Antonio...he can't be the man, because Duncan is the man. Kobe wants his own team and if he goes to San Antonio he won't all of a sudden take...

While it is true the maybe besides Shaq and Kobe nobody cracks the top 6 in Detroit...Shaq and Kobe being 2 of the top 5 players in the league is a pretty large gap in and of itself...so while the Pistons were in fact deeper, I believe that the depth makes the gap a little smaller, but IMO...

Well, many will give their props to the Pistons and then begin to move on to thinking about the draft, Free agency and next season, and in that case the Lakers will be the biggest story of the summer. It is important that author's give Detroit all their props, but you have to get that done and...

I just went back and read some posts...and I take it that some were deleted and I should probably be thankful for that. Anyway, as I said, the Lakers had more talent than the Pistons...I mean seriously they were clearly the more talented team. But, Detroit was an actual team that played like...

People have been waiting wondering if I would admit that the East was good competition for the West, like I said I would do if the East won the title. Well, I admitted that after I saw Detroit in game 2, but I'll say it again. Detroit is the best team in the NBA. I've actually thought this...

I've got to turn this away from basketball for a second, and I hope that thos those that read this will understand Why. I wanted to say this before a champion was crowned so that it wouldn't get mixed up in all of that discussion. I just want to say thank you to the regulars, and well...

Well, they shouldn't have had to share the title with Nebraska that year...of course the fact I love Charles Woodson and loathe Nebraska might factor in to my opinion just a bit. So guess which member of the Lakers is trying to be Joe Namath now? Yep, Kobe Bryant guaranteed that the Lakers...

I've got a lot of thoughts on the whole Kobe and Shaq deal, but I think I'll save those. Let me just say that if Kobe leaves, I won't miss him as much as I would've in the past. Chris I agree with your post, regarding the different matchups that would've resulted in a Minnesota Detroit or San...

Jan made the one point regarding Phil that I did not, and I give him all the props in the world for what he's done this year, and yet a part of me thinks maybe in some ways helped stir the pot a bit on some of these contraversies. That not withstanding, I still give him credit for not going...

    2003-2004 NBA Season

Walter, let me simply say this. I've seen some poorly officiated games that the Lakers won, I believe it was game 6 of the Timberwolves series with the horrible second quarter...and I called it what it is, which was poorly officiated. So for me anyway it works both ways, although I do have to...
