The great behind the scenes movie is magnetic. Be prepared to watch nonstop, very addictive for a Gilligan fan. It is quite informative:

I read Bob Denver's book-'Gilligan, Maynard, and Me'. In it he spoke very unflattering of Tina Louise. It is clear he didn't care for her at all. I still remember I was shocked that she spoke very high of Denver after his death. I always assumed the feeling was mutual between the two.

I usually only revist this show when I pair it with The Brady Bunch(Just like I used to watch it after school in the early 80's). It is still very fun. I agree the missed opportunity for commentaries is just sad.
