Character centric OT
A New Hope - Luke Skywalker
The Empire Strikes Back - Han Solo/Princess Leia
Return if The Jedi - Darth Vader
my take of course. Others may see it differently
My feeling for 'The Empire Strikes Back' have changed quite a bit over the years. I now think it is the weakest of the OT. It has a cliffhanger ending (something I never liked) I think almost the entire Hoth scenes are rather boring (Especially the battle against the All Terrain Armored...
I remember the night the 'Holiday Special' aired. I was really young, but the Donnie and Marie Osmond (hot) show leading up to it was more memorable in my mind. That is saying quite a bit.
Other than the firing of Solo directors, what has the fanbase so fired up against her?
I'm in the dark on the whole subject. Was it something she said?
For some reason I like these type of videos. Knowing that you can never rewatch SW OT for the first time, it is fun to see it through someone other than my eyes. I love the expressions, and curious mannerisms of these people.
I have nothing against Jake Lloyd who did a fine job as young Anakin (and the early days of internet trolls, and idiot fans caused him his mental health-- Damn them!) but the actor in this article looked much more like Anakin IMO. His eyes especially looked like the old helmetless...

If no one ever said a bad word about Jar Jar in Episode 1, I never would have thought twice about the character being ill suited for Star Wars. The mob mentality really went off the rails on the hatred for...
You just summed up perfectly why I hated TFA. I don't understand the death for drama in mega budget action movies. It works in dramatic features but always felt out of place to me in these huge popcorn type films to me. Also is a huge buzzkill.
ROTJ is still my favorite SW movie. I never understood why people think it is the weak link of the OT. It has a better Death star battle than the first film, The Emperor portrayal is amazing as we finally get to see the evil behind the the Empire. And the battle between Luke/Vader and the...
I'm really sad that the Prequels in 3D never saw a theater release(except for 1). Episodes 2, and 3 were screened at one of the Celebration events. The response to the 3D was mostly mind blowing from what I have read.
And my biggest dream to see the OT in 3D is now crushed.:(.
George, why...
I may be crazy, but I would love to see the original story treatment George Lucas had planned for episode VII, and the OT characters. IF for no other reason than to glance at it, and let my imagination fill in the blanks. I wonder if it will ever meet the public eye?
Don't get me wrong, I really liked the new characters very much. Rey, Finn, and what little we saw of Poe., all were great. However, I feel the movie should have been about them only. Bringing in the OT characters comes back to that "connectivity" of the Star Wars universe that I despised...
I thought that the whole time I was watching it on screen. Granted, the original trilogy is a tough act to follow.
I just thought the whole thing felt rushed, and emotionally void. At the same time diminishing the happy ending of ROTJ. Pointless money grab is what i took from the whole thing.
That makes sense, and for me anyway would have fell in line with the rest of the film which I thought was pretty poor. Well filmed, and everything was perfect, except the story.
I just do not care for Star Wars TFA story at all. No more of the Skywalker Saga for me.
Return Of The Jedi is the...
I pre-ordered the book a couple months ago.
I always loved McQuarrie's Star Wars art.
It looks to be a great book. I have to buy the rest of those " The Making Of"Star Wars books before they go out of print. the Making Of The Empire Strikes Back was a wealth of information, and so many...
One thing I'm curious about is the action figure sales from Episode 7. I know that back in the day kids loved action figures, but it is a much different world now. I have a lot of nephews under the age of 15 and under and the past few Christmas presents have mainly been gadgets(Ipod/pads) and...
