I received my copy of "The Lincoln Conspiracy" today.
The quality is very nice. I'm really happy with this, and hope KL has a deal to realease many more Sunn Classic Pictures.
Wow, The Minus Man on BD is a dream come true. I am not even sure if the movie is good but it had one of the most intriguing movie trailers. Ever.
Day one purchase.
I'm very disappointed in my purchase of "The Boogens".
I just have to stop assuming every 4K disc is an improvement over the old BD. In this case it is not.
I’m now hoping KL has plans for more Sunn Classic pictures releases (providing Paramount did more HD remastering of those titles as well).
The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams complete TV series is one of my grail wants (absolutely beautiful, and Denver Pyle is great) on BD.
Im not sure how KL...
I wanted to start watching some Gary Cooper western films. Of course the one I wanted to see, "Man of the West" is out of print on BD.
Oh well, you snooze you lose.
I received "The Belle Starr Story" today. I think the video quality looks awful. Bland color dull, and lifeless. Macroblocking. Something went wrong somewhere.
Same here. I said in another thread that 4K discs don't necessarily need an upgrade (as most standard BD look just fine).
But then I buy the 4K discs anyway. And they always look better. I'd love to cut back but.... I love 4K/HDR/Dolby Atmos/Vision--DTSX!
I watched 'Breaking In' and thought the picture quality was very good. Gets better every viewing. Burt Reynolds is great in this.
I'm curious why KL didn't use movie poster for case artwork?
I thought they usually do.
I swear this happens to me every year. I miss the sale. It seems KL always have two sales back to back (October, and in November) and I can never remember which is the big sale with the most titles, and the less impressive sale.
Looks like this October sale was the one with the most to offer.
Yeah, I have a lot of Criterion releases I was disappointed with, and just a couple from WA that I thought were not as good as most. KL is my favorite currently, just because of the number of great, forgotten films they release. But with that amount of titles, of course there will be some that...
Count how many boutique labels released content with a true "quality over quantity" approach.
I can think of one, and they are gone.
And this is not a knock against KL, or any other.
I don't know about that. I follow that site, and 99% of the time the direct screen captures they post are spot on with how the color timing is displayed. I don't agree with the reviews many times, but the screen caps are certainly a good way to gauge the color timing, or artificial looking...
You're right. Thanks for the info about her. I really enjoyed Meg in "Impulse" and she was also great in "Body Snatchers", and Tom Holland's fantastic "Psycho II".
I just watched 'Impulse'(1984) starring Jennifer Tilly, and Tim Matheson. The video presentation is amazing. Sourced from a 4K scan of the OCN-and it shows. The movie is pretty silly, but oddly enough I was mesmerized by Jennifer Tilly throughout the film(what ever happened to her?)...
My order arrived from the sale.
I'm not sure what to watch first:)
I bought a copy of 'Monster Dog' for a friend as well, he is a huge Alice Cooper fan.
