Talk about ecstacy and agony. The Stationmaster's Wife is one of the remaining Fassbinder's I most want to see, but coming from New Yorker? If it looks anything like their release of Xala, Herr K will be running Amok!
Ok, I knew these were coming in the UK, but Hail didn't have that designation so it threw me.
Good news about Pom Poko. You'd think they'd put out Whispers of the Heart. Isn't Cat Returns sort of a sequel?
I was wondering about Hail as well. That would be big news around the forum and this is the first mention I've seen of it.
I hope Yamadas is joined by another Ghibli release or two.
Last I heard on Anger, as well as Fassbinder's Why Did Herr R Run Amok?, was sometime this Summer. I think the new date on Herr R is end of June, but it's already been delayed a million times.
Major Dundee is showing in Atlanta in the middle of May so you may want to check your local art house...
Why Did Herr R Run Amok? has been delayed by Fantoma yet again. This time, there is no new date.
Any bets on whether this or the Kenneth Anger set gets released first?
Good to see Notre Musique coming out, I was afraid I'd have to wait forever to see it. :emoji_thumbsup: on Tarnation too, I wanted to see it when it played here but missed it since it was only here 1 week.
Anyone know what the Taviani Brothers other films are like? I've only seen Night of the...
Wow, sounds like a great disc Jay.
So is there a consensus on what the best version of Talk To Her will be? I was going to pass on this and just get it sometime later, but yesterday I saw the trailer again and I don't think I can wait :D
I hope so Gary. I've wanted Senso and The Children Are Watching Us since seeing them on TCM's Italian Festival. I only hope Senso is restored, this is a Technicolor epic, the 1st color film produced in Italy, but the print shown on TCM was rather drab.
According to IMDB this was already on DVD...
Good news. The Wide Blue Road is very good and an interesting film to compare with La Terra Trema. I hope that being in the Milestone Collection, it's in better shape than Image's discs of Germany Year Zero and Shoeshine.
Now if I could just get nice DVD's of Umberto D, Senso, The Children Are...
Awesome knews about Bitter Tears, but I hope that it won't have the same detrimental effects on the video that all the extras had on The Merchant of Four Seasons.
Any word yet on what extras the HK Legends disc of The Killer will contain?
I assume Kino's The Piano Teacher will be...
Ted is that movie related to the book by Peter Brown (I think that's right, the guy who's name is mentioned in the lyrics of "The Ballad of John and Yoko"), that says that John and Brian slept together?
Woo-Hoo, The Virgin Spring, hope it looks as good as Tartan's other releases.
Went to the art house Sunday night and they had a poster for Sex and Lucia, still hasn't hit Atlanta yet, maybe it will get here before the DVD.
