Some of us don't go through every line of the T&C except the first time we join, which for me was several years back. They count on that. Excuse me for devoting my attention to other things in life.
Thank you so much for posting this! I hate when they pull stuff like this. I think I'm all set because I've declined a title and then I get shipped something I didn't want and have to go through the hassle of a return.
That would be fantastic, as the Treasures release was in the last wave and only had a small amount of sets released. I wasn't able to get it when it came out and they go for a fortune on the secondary market now.
Yeah, von Braun got a pass in the U.S. because of "Operation Paperclip," a program that offered amnesty to former "Friends of Schicklgruber" whom we felt could provide us with valuable scientific knowledge to give us an upper hand in the Cold War. We're nothing if not opportunistic. On the one...
Yeah, aside from the, ahem, questionable character that has been removed from the Pastoral section and stands a snowball's chance in Hades of ever being reinstated, the original Fantasia has probably had more versions than any other Disney film. Heck, several of these different edits were done...
If Disney is withholding Fantasia 2000 because of the allegations against Levine, I'd be surprised. Honestly, outside of Classical Music buffs, nobody knows who he is and many of them, I'm sure, poo-poo the film anyway, since it really is a pale imitation of the original. Heck, the original film...
Sadly, we don't really hear about upcoming releases until they're announced. There is an HD transfer of The Black Cauldron that is available digitally, but not the other two. The best we have right now are the UK DVD releases, since the US versions are censored.
It kills me that the "exclusive" NBC is seemingly just the addition of extra subtitles during the songs so they can charge more for a film that has been available for years. So stupid.
There are HD versions of many of the Disney live-action films available pretty much anywhere you would buy digital. I will say, however, that where you watch your purchases can sometimes make a huge difference. For example, I bought Darby O'Gill. Thanks to Movies Anywhere, I have access to the...
I was born and raised in WV, so I'm right there with you. We aren't offended by such things, especially since these older films aren't mean spirited.
I have the UK DVD's of the uncut Melody Time and Make Mine Music. If they only release the cut versions, I guess I'll have to stick with them. I...
Be aware: I just called to cancel my membership and was told by the Cast Member that I couldn't because I had one purchase left to fulfill my commitment. Mind you, I joined back in 2014 and became a VIP later that year. Sure enough, when I pulled up my account online it showed that same...
