    The Adventures of Superman

I own copies of more than a few things Coates was in... a couple of of my favorites are the serials Panther Girl of the Jungle (1955) and Jungle Drums of Africa (1953) which also featured Clayton Moore (The Lone Ranger). It was *always* a pleasure to have her pop up in something. She played...

    The Adventures of Superman

Noel Neill was OK as Lois but I *always* preferred Phyllis Coates:

    The Adventures of Superman

I loved those 80 page giant issues to the point that I'd forgo the regular issues to purchase one when it showed up in the spin rack. I think I have that issue (can't easily check at the moment). I know I read it and I never got rid of comics I purchased. The "Superman's Girlfriend, Lois...

    The Adventures of Superman

I'm not so sure... even as a kid I felt that was one of the weaker episodes. I'm a *huge* fan of the series but would be unlikely to purchase that pilot movie without the series being attached. It wouldn't surprise me at all to find there are lots of other fans who feel pretty much the same.

    The Adventures of Superman

The Fleischer/Famous Studios 1940s Superman Cartoons *are* on BR, though SD as has been said. They're included as bonus items in the Superman Motion Picture Anthology set (the Fleischer on the Superman II disc and the Famous Studios on the Richard Donner Superman II disc): I pulled out my set...

    The Adventures of Superman

Well... if that's 1957 dollars that package would cost roughly $5.50 today. That's about average for breaded frozen shrimp at WM (whole - not popcorn) but not as great as it sounds. ;) I like how the Breaded Shrimp is featured on channel 5...

    The Adventures of Superman

Interesting... I have a copy of that Flash vs. Superman rematch as well as the original Superman vs. Flash race issue of Superman. I recall having a copy of the Lois Lane 80pg. Giant you show. I have no idea about condition - haven't looked at them in years. They're all in a long box of stuff...

    The Adventures of Superman

We had a 19" BW when I was a kid - watched everything on it until the late 60s when dad purchased a 19" color set (a Heathkit that I helped assemble). Superman was just GREAT! I'd get up early (~5:30) on Saturday, turn on the TV, turn the sound down (mom complained about that 1000 cycle tone...
