Doug, via NTSC conversion - the quality is terrific and on a par with the US DVD, which I also have. Does anyone else using AOL to access this site have the problems that I do? Is there something incompatible? Pages won't load, it's slow as molasses, don't get it. If I use Safari...
Well, Doug is correct, and I offer my apologies. The default soundtrack is 5.1 - when you choose the other soundtrack in setup it's only labeled as "English", with 5.1 being designated of the Enhanced mix. I assumed it was the same 2.0 mix because a) I didn't listen to that much of it and b)...
Yes, I have the gray-colored 40th Anniversary set. If it's the default I'll just play it that way and see. And I'll double check the setup menu, but my memory is it had the 5.1 Enhanced mix and the 2.0 Theatrical mix. I'll report back, and I hope you're right.

I guess I thought someone actually had the disc and wasn't posting specs - at least that's the way it came off. Unless I'm missing it somehow, this two-disc 40th Anniversery Australian DVD has the Enhanced Theater Mix and the 2.0 original. If the 5.1 original is hidden somewhere, I've yet to...
So, I was told right here in this thread that the Australian SE of Mary Poppins had the original theatrical mix in 5.1 as well as 2.0. So, I order it. So, it comes. So, it doesn't. Thanks ever so much for the wonderful tip.
So, someone said that the region four or something has the 5.1 theatrical mix. Where do you buy such a thing? I'm only used to the UK, France and Germany, all of which, I think are region 2.
If you want my two centavos, here they are. The image looks great, and much better than any previous transfer. There are no problems with color, and I base that on having recently seen an IB Tech print of the film. The dreaded new mix: Well, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it...
