I appreciate my question on silent films being addressed, and while I'm disappointed about the scoring issue, that disappointment pales in comparison to the excitement of knowing that three or four silents are seemingly on the pipeline for release in the coming year or two.

Have the Warner Archive people ever said how well The Sea Hawk sold?

With a remastered version of Libeled Lady hitting HBO Max, perhaps there's going to be a wave of William Powell features with the WAC. Libeled Lady, Life with Father, and Mister Roberts would make for a strong month of announcements.

It's not really a matter that it's a bad film on a technical level but more a matter that the film is rooted in the historiography of the 1940s concerning the Civil War and Reconstruction.

Given the flack that WB and HBO Max received recently over Gone with the Wind, it is weird and perhaps even ironic that a remastered edition of Tennessee Johnson would be added to HBO Max and potentially released on blu-ray by WAC. It is indeed a reasonably well made movie, but don't go into it...

That's very possible as TCM has eclipsed AMC in almost every possible way during the past two decades. That in itself is remarkable as TCM was in the underdog position when it started. So while TCM may not have started it, it has arguably perfected it.
