I've never seen Land of the Pharoahs or Helen of Troy, so it will be a treat experiencing them for the first time in what I'm sure will be pristine quality. And can't wait to see the new remaster of The Strawberry Blonde even earlier than anticipated. :)

I hope they will consider licensing out some of the new masters created for films like Life with Father (1947) and Little Women (1933) that have streamed on HBO Max and aired on TCM. They might not meet the quality standards of WAC, but I would love to add physical copies of them to my collection.

Heads up: TCM is currently airing the remastered Life with Father that debuted on FilmStruck back in 2020. A Blu-ray doesn't seem to be coming any time soon, so I'm thrilled to finally have a recording of this remaster.

There was a new master of Life with Father created in 2020 that streamed for a time on HBO Max. Sadly it hasn't been released on Blu-ray.

Little Women (1949) has been added to the list of films screening at the TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood next month. It's not noted as a new restoration on the website like Giant or A Star is Born, but neither is Singin' in the Rain, and that just received a sparkling new 4K restoration...

I have the HD digital which is a nice uptick over the DVD. I'm sure a new scan would be gorgeous. I hope we'll see it one day soon!

Probably for purely sentimental reasons, as it's my favourite in the series and the first I saw. And, as has already been mentioned, it's the first with Judy. Also, part of it takes place over Christmas, so it's one I enjoy watching every couple of years around the holidays.

I don't know about the negative for A Date with Judy, but I do recall that title being included in a long list of films a viewer was asking about on the WAC Podcast, and Mr. Feltenstein replying that each of them was a likely candidate for release. So hopefully one day soon!

NATIONAL VELVET! Christmas has come early for me! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mr. Feltenstein and everyone at WAC. This is my second most wanted film on Blu-ray and I couldn't be more thrilled.
