Spanish retail sources are indicating that Universal is planning another big wave of Alfred Hitchcock titles for release in 4K UHD this year. This batch is expected to include Saboteur (1942), Shadow of a Doubt (1943), Marnie (1964), The Trouble with Harry (1955), To Catch a Thief (1955), and...
I bought the 4k digital version and I still have mixed feelings. It's nice to see Cary Grant actually look like a caucasian but the transfer still has lots problems with detail. I do like the colors though. The bottomline: Hitch deserves a lot better. Maybe fifth times the charm?

Amazon.com now has copies of the 2012/2017 release. "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com" Yesterday it said "back ordered." Nice price too.
Update: They are now gone again.

I was simply making the point copies are going fast because amazon is no longer selling it directly. I never said it was hard to get or that it wasn't available. My point was it may not stay that way for long.
Did I say it wasn't available? I said it's only available from third party vendors on amazon.com (not amazon itself). This means copies are dwindling.
As of this morning all the "2012/2017" versions are either third party only or backordered on amazon.com. I guess word has gotten around quickly. It also appears that DD has none left.
I have no problem with anyone here. I just tried to provide information on the disc which Robert and Bruce dismissed over and over again. Robert said one of the most important viewpoints on blu is RAH. Now that RAH has weighed in, there's suddenly more important things in the world....
