Did you ever get it to work , I am having the same problem with my lifestyle 28 system , I can use rca but would rather use optical cable , I looked at the end before hooking it to the bose and I seem to remember reading somewhere that it should have a red light lit up . Thanks

I moved both plugs from a surge strip to an outlet and tha seems to have fixed the hum ! They are both 2 pronged plugs but it seems to have fixed it , I can crank it up as high as I want and am not getting the hum , before it started at around 40 on the volume and I put it up to 70 ( that was...

No visible screws and no phono hookup , aux , tv , and vcr , it's from 2004 .

I have a fluance rt81 turntable hooked to a bose lifestyle 28 and get a hum at louder volumes, cannot ground the turntable to the bose as it is not metal , any help with getting rid of the hum would be appreciated , Thanks
