For anyone that ever has this idea, you can use this sub with a modern receiver, i used a 3.5mm female to rca adapter (with the 3.5mm yellow subwoofer input cable only), plugged it into the subwoofer output of a STRDH790 and it works great

I have another subwoofer with ONLY two spring clips (one positive/one negative) Could I use a speaker wire to rca adapter for the sub out on the receiver?

i have Altec Lansing Dell ADA-995 what i would like to know is if i could put a Y splitter on the Front Left and Front Right going to the Sub Out on a Reciever, and is this safe to do?
