Sadly I think there will be a segment of society who will be saying "I TOLD YOU SO!!" and stand by him 1000% but hopefully many will see through his lies and deceit and punish him accordingly.
I purged several years ago all (well most) of my movies and cds. Dumped off at the local used DVD/CD store. No more having to store this stuff was liberating.
I've done similar. One night we were going to watch a movie at home and kids were joking they wished they had movie popcorn. So we just ran down the road to the theater and ordered a big bucket and went home. :)
They make really good popcorn at our fancy theater so I always buy the large one then as we leave we dump the "old" popcorn and get a fresh refill to take home and snack on.
I've gone to Alamo twice and having lunch while watching a movie was a unique experience, but yes the whole process is quite distracting overall. I'm fine with just some popcorn a Coke and some Walgreens box candy.

The "comedy" portion that helped kill my liking of The Last Jedi was the "I'll hold" opening scene. I rolled my eyes and my balloon deflated. It just ruined the whole experience. Not to mention the horrible story and acting. :)
