Just took delivery of “Fear The Walking Dead” season 8. That completes the series. For some reason they decided to only make the DVD version available in CND so I had to order it from the “states” (Amazon.com) at $50.00 for the Blu. Very pricy! It did arrive quickly however
How about this?
Around Christmas we ordered a $300 paper shredder and a $20 bracket to hold a tissue box in the car. They arrived together
The shredder did not have any dimensions on it on the website, so when it arrived we saw that it was just a tiny one that was unsuitable.
I requested...
One has to face facts that despite having the voices of some of the original actors and some good writing, what you basically have is cheap Saturday morning crap made to sell Post and Kelloge products to children, while they play with their cars on the floor in front of the TV.
I am going through my collection of Blu-rays. I find that every one available in 3D when a movie came out, was purchased by me, even to the point of ordering from Britain and Germany. That means I have hundreds of 3D discs. My Sony set is getting older and older, as is my PS3. Have there been...
When my mother in law passed away, and we were settling her estate, we transferred her mail and land line to us. That's when we discovered that she had contributrd to just about every charity known to mankind. The calls and junk mail were endless.
The worst was The Salvation Army. She was not...
Why are people so hard on these movie adaptations. I saw all of those on stage and my wife and I agreed that they were all better as movies (Except “9”!).
We saw “Cats” in New York and thought it was terrible and boring. I was actually trapped into seeing it again, and did not change my...
I have been having trouble with Canadian Amazon. We have been prime members for a number of years, and being still into physical media I order all my Blu rays from them. I also often pre-order. The last 3 times I did this, my account says “we will e-mail you when we have a delivery date” and I...
Just received "The Walking Dead -- Dead City",season 1. I usually watch all these WD shows in first run, but because I was in the hospital, I missed this iteration, so for the first time I made a blind purchase. I do know that the main characters are hold overs from the original show.
Except for "I Love Lucy" which I saw multiple times as a child in re-runs and "Star Trek". TOS, I almost never have seen everything twice. I usually watch all my favourite in first run and then again with the disc version when I acquire it. I've also have acquired the Blu ray to replace a DVD...
When I went to elementary school In the dark ages, we had movies, and lessons about not littering. There were many public service messages on TV as well.
🎶 Please, Please, don’t be a litterbug, because every litterbit hurts! 🎶
I found the original movie, boring and maudlin as was the musical. My wife could never get over the ridiculous outfits the main character designs. However reviews of this movie so far are very good. We are taking a wait and see
Just received the 4 Blu ray set for Star Trek: Strange New world season 2. I really enjoy this program and think it is the absolute best of the "new Star Trek". Judging by folks on the internet, I am not alone.
I have just about all the John Williams scores in my cd collection. Unfortunately the latest Indy movie (Dial of Destiny) cd was only available briefly and I missed it. I bought the Blu ray of the movie, which has an isolated score. I thought I could make my own CD, forgetting that my year old...
This might not be the place for this question. We always record every show we watch but ff through commercials. Can you ff through commercials on the streaming services that have them?
I was about 10. My parents were riveted to the TV, watching the crisis unfold. I was acting like an idiot bopping a balloon on the ceiling. Finally my dad shouted "SIT DOWN, THIS COULD BE THE END OF THE WORLD!"
I am a bit older I guess. All of our lights when I was a kid, were the kind that all went off when one burned out—which was very often. My job was to find the dead bulb and replace it. I seemed to spend the holidays circling the tree, and trying to find the offender. Those bulbs could be hot!
Believe it or not, “John Carter”, my first 3D purchase remains my favourite and demo. I also love what they did with “Titanic “ and “The Wizard of Oz”.
What annoys me are the tv shows that will never play in the theatre presented as if they are wide screen with black bands top and bottom.
I also don't understand why subtitles are not placed in these areas. We use them all the time a) because our treadmill is noisy, and b) because we are old!
I am not really a collector of Beatles CDs per se, although I have bought a CD of all their Albums to enjoy their music. Years ago when I first got them, I realized the Red and Blue sets were just very short greatest hits collections. They are so short in fact that they could be burned on to a...
As a completest, I have watched every iteration of Star Trek, and bought all the discs. I know various strikes have buggered up the schedule, but do we have any dates for the return of “Discovery etc.”?
Some of these movies of course were made to be technical marvels when seen in the theatre. I saw Around The World in the theatre (as we used to call it) and loved it. TCM showed it, and to my surprise I found it boring not to say tedious. It just does not hold up at home.
I don't know what is going on with Amazon.ca. We are prime members, and yet every Blu ray I order always comes well after the release date. I had to wait an extra month for Picard season 3, and although I ordered with plenty of time to spare, instead of arriving last Tuesday I got an e-mail...
Is this thread devoted to the original series only? The minutiae of the first 3 years of each episode is all that seem to be discussed here. What about the hundreds of other shows from other Star Treks?
