Found a scaler for 60 bucks on Amazon which let me adjust the resolution. It looks like it will be 1080i or deinterlaced to 720, but it's my first project for a theater room. It is working flawlessly with all things to my receiver, HDMI to said box and on to my xd206u. Now to decide on either...

Thanks guys! HDMI was needed over DVI for my receiver. So it would still need to be HDMI out, then flipped to vga some way. The culprit was the native resolution in the adapter. I needed a scaler box to address this. Pictures soon! Thanks!
