Ok, so I FINALLY got everything delivered and ready to install. We put two of the ceiling speakers up for now. Might put the third in at a later date. I'm going to have one of my friends that has some knowledge hook everything up so I don't have to have a professional come in and pay over...
Maybe my last question.... but probably not. So it's a 7.2 receiver, but there are 8 speakers. The LCR is hooked up in the LCR connections. There are 2 connections that are labeled surround and I know that's where the ceiling speakers get connected, but there are 3 ceiling speakers and from...
Just wondering what the purpose is of the wire with 4 conductors for the ceiling speakers? And how you actually connect them with the speakers and the receiver.
And by the way... thanks for dealing with my dumb *** and taking the time. I almost have everything I need. You're going to have a blast when I go all out in the home theater.
Got it. I even understand that.
The speaker wire you showed me... I need a roll of each? The one with 4 wires goes to the single source stereo and the other to the LCR and outside? And about that sub, yes, no? And if I do need one I need a wireless one.
Well I could never do this myself, my hands don't work well (burns). I was going to have my general contractor do it, but maybe not now. Maybe I'll just have him put the speakers in and run all of the wires and such then get someone that knows what they're doing up here.
Those are quite nice.... but the price is a bit much for me. There is also a home theater in my basement and am going to go ALL OUT for that one (in the near future). For this room I just want something that plays good music and so that you can here ''the game'' throughout the entire room...
Binghamton is probably the reason she is a ''former''.
About that. If I do get one, then what? Still the speakers in the ceiling? And should I get a sub? I'm really stuck on having speakers in the ceiling.
Awesome. Thanks a lot.
Also, I have an Onkyo receiver upstairs that is about 5 years old and it requires an audio cable and an HDMI cable to run to the TV. Is this new going to require an audio cable or will everything run through the HDMI?
This is where the tv will be mounted and this is the layout of the room. Nothing can be mounted over the bar only in the drop ceiling.
The only things that will be running through it would be a Directv Genie and the tv. I'd like to stay under $500 for the receiver. I just looked up zone 2...
Hello all. I'm here to find answers without having to talk to the ''experts'' at Best Buy or other electronic stores. Setting up audio in my basement and I have no clue what I'm doing.
I'm looking to purchase a receiver to run the sound and video in my bar/living room. The room is 16' wide and about 40'-45' long. I'm going to be using ceiling speakers (not yet purchased). I also want to mount 2 outdoor speakers outside. I'm thinking I can get 4 speakers inside and then the...
