Do you think any effort will be made to go back and correct? I doubt it will happen now that the release is set to go, but hopefully in a future re-release. At least it would be nice if Criterion did so and offered replacement discs for those obsessive completists among us.
I've noticed several Criterion Collection blu-ray cases I've purchased are badly indented and creased due to the design of the blu-ray case. Short of trying to rebuy all of this artwork, is there a simple way to remove these indentations and creases without damaging the artwork? Please let me...
I'm voting for a blu ray release for these titles:
THE NIGHT STALKER/THE NIGHT STRANGLER
DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK
A COLD NIGHT'S DEATH
THE GIRL MOST LIKELY TO...
THE LEGEND OF LIZZIE BORDEN
As bad as Gary Barber is, it sill comes down to the shareholders and the Board of Directors of MGM. They are the ones who set the culture of an organization, and obviously they don't see the value in film preservation. Hopefully a sale to a responsible film company will happen soon.
They've got a long list going - HAWAII (roadshow)
THE ALAMO (roadshow)
FREAKS (uncut)
GREED (uncut)
LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT
Better stop - don't want to overload the thread.
Great thing about this release of COWBOY, with Criterion's previous releases of 3:10 TO YUMA and JUBAL, we now have all three Glenn Ford-Delmer Daves westerns on blu-ray!
The Wrong Box
Tom Jones
Sons and Lovers
The Sundowners
The Mouse That Roared
Call Northside 777
Kiss of Death
The House on 92nd Street
The Sniper
The Defiant Ones
Peyton Place
Valley of the Dolls
Doctor Dolittle
Considering the rhetoric from Mr. Trump, the Republican frontrunner, gives this film an added resonance. Those who don't recall history are doomed to repeat it.
