ha ha thanks for the reassurance.
to be honest apart from theatres, I have no heard any high end speakers so wont have anything to compare my ones too something better.
I only just bought the 375 2 weeks ago as my previous one had no HDMI so no lossless audio for me at all.
So speakers will be next purchase in Summer hopefully. Just wanted to get people's opinions on my current speakers and to see if people think they good enough for HD audio.
Yeah I know speakers are important but cant afford any decent ones at the moment. Maybe next year in Summer.
Hopefully I can enjoy the ones I have as I dont want to end up paying for some more low end ones and then having to replace them again.
ha ha!! thats well funny!
I know the amp I chose is a very basic one but people say very good things about it. So I wont go buying expensive speakers until I get a upgrade on the amp. Which probs wont be until I have 4K TV in 2 years time hopefully. I hear good things about Polk Audio speakers...
Ha ha nah Im not in NZ, im in the UK. Thats the first site I found for specs.
Mine came with a old Denon 6.1 AV we had. Pre HDMI days. Was only £50 more for the speakers vs AV alone.
Thanks.
I dont need to play at high volumes so in terms of volume levels these are fine.
If you had a look at the speakers, would you say they are good enough for a budget set up?
Hi people,
Just bought a Yamaha 375 AV Receiver, its my first HD audio setup and currently have some old Denon speakers. These ones http://www.paulmoney.co.nz/shop/speakers/subsat-systems/sys56ht/
Would I be able to tell the difference between DVD audio and blu ray audio on these or would I...
Hi
I dont really need pass through as my TV is only used to watch movies and on demand tv shows.
main thing is sound quality for movies and how well the auto calibration tool works. I know the best is in denon but thats too expensive for me.
Hi guys
I am about to purchase a AV receiver, dont need anything too fancy as I got a small room.
I will be using speakers that came from a old low end Denon AVR package.
My current choices are:
Sony STRDH540 £130
Yamaha RX-V375 £199
Is the extra for the Yahmaha worth it?
Thanks
