Hatari! as well, I love that movie. Farewell, Hardy. :emoji_cry:

The perfect movies for "escapism" list. What are your favorites?

Film Movement Classics Acquires Rights to Fritz Lang's Indian Epic

Well, if you’re hard of hearing it would’ve been nice to have subtitles. Unfortunately there’re some German publishers that leave them off their discs. Shame.

Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)

At this moment I couldn’t care less about Avatar 2. But it’s still time till December, maybe my state of mind will be different. But in general I see a problem that there’s 13 years between parts 1 and 2. And my personal problem is probably that I never was in high praise of the first movie...

    Batgirl (2022)

Do I get it right that Batgirl won’t get a theatrical release? HBOmax only? HBO isn’t available in Germany, I hope I get to see it somehow.

    The Batman (2022)

As of now, no Batman movie could fully convince me! Not that I didn’t like most of them, but the Batman I grew up with is the Batman of the 70’s comics. That will always be my favourite. In films I honestly can’t decide what'll be my favourite. Only “Batman & Robin” is a bit too much. I am...

    Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (2023)

    Fair enough

    Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (2023)

Thanks. I think it’s the right decision. Do we really need a Cleopatra movie? I dunno.

    Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (2023)

Is Jenkins still as director involved?

    Gravity (2013)

When I did a “space film“ retrospective couple of years ago, I watched it the last time and I really enjoyed it again (3rd time if I’m not mistaken). Haven't watched it with the so-called silent soundtrack, but will do so next time. I believe I included beside Gravity these films: Apollo 13...

Killers of the Flower Moon (2023)

I hope so too. Don’t know if Netflix is doing it still over here.

Bond 25 - "No Time to Die" (2021)

If you reboot a series it doesn’t matter what happened to the character before. That’s what reboots are for, isn’t it?

Bond 25 - "No Time to Die" (2021)

    I highly doubt that. ;)

    Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (2023)

Isn’t she allowed to do a third WW movie? So there’s that.

    Dune (2021)

It didn’t felt cropped in the theatre.

    Dune (2021)

I haven’t seen Dune in IMAX because it’s not easy to get to see the movies in the original language in the first place let alone on the two IMAX screens in my town. I've seen it on a regular screen which was beautiful as it was. Btw, no HBOmax here in Germany. That means if I wanted to see the...

    North by Northwest (1959)

Mine too, it’s part of 12 movies (*) I like so much I’m not shy to buy them multiple times. From all the Hitchcock movies it is one of the most often seen ones from childhood on. To catch a Thief might be on par with that. (*) it spans from 1941's The Maltese Falcon to 2004's Garden State...

    Dune (2021)

Wow, thank you. That’s sounds and looks intriguing. But I also see why it hasn’t been made into a movie or tv show.

    Dune (2021)

Interesting, I’ve never heard of it. But I heard of Dune just because of the Lynch movie to be fair.

***Official 22nd Annual HTF October Scary Movie Challenge 2021***

Welp, that didn’t go as planned. I wasn’t able to watch any movie this month, not just Horror. So I have to withdraw my participation for this year’s competition.

Bond 25 - "No Time to Die" (2021)

Bold part: if he hadn’t been shot, they probably wouldn’t have said to him. At the very beginning of the movie he seemed to be in his prime. I don’t know how much time went by since he returned after the attack on MI6, but it should be a couple of months at least. with all the rest you said I...

    Dune (2021)

The Lynch movie has - at least for me - the problem that it has in the first, what, 15 minutes?, too much exposition before the actual story begins. Referring to your spoiler:

Bond 25 - "No Time to Die" (2021)

No, that’s Die Another Day. TND is the one with Michelle Yeoh as a Chinese agent. And Jonathan Pryce as a newspaper mogul.

Bond 25 - "No Time to Die" (2021)

I saw it yesterday. Actually I didn’t even noticed the long running time. I liked the movie, more than Spectre and QoS, about even with Skyfall. Casino Royale is one of my favourites of all the Bond films.

Bond 25 - "No Time to Die" (2021)

Well, I live in Germany, but Leonberg is even for me a bit far off. But if they’re showing the movie in 3D only (like with Dune) I wouldn’t be interested anyway.

    Batgirl (2022)

Isn’t the source material of that movie something with Halloween? There you have it. ;)
