It’s my favourite movies I always can get lost in.
That’s why they are my favourite movies ;)
for example:
The Maltese Falcon
North by Northwest
Rio Bravo
The Magnificent Seven
L'homme del Rio (Belmondo)
Hatari!
Well, if you’re hard of hearing it would’ve been nice to have subtitles.
Unfortunately there’re some German publishers that leave them off their discs. Shame.
At this moment I couldn’t care less about Avatar 2.
But it’s still time till December, maybe my state of mind will be different.
But in general I see a problem that there’s 13 years between parts 1 and 2.
And my personal problem is probably that I never was in high praise of the first movie...
As of now, no Batman movie could fully convince me!
Not that I didn’t like most of them, but the Batman I grew up with is the Batman of the 70’s comics. That will always be my favourite.
In films I honestly can’t decide what'll be my favourite. Only “Batman & Robin” is a bit too much.
I am...
When I did a “space film“ retrospective couple of years ago, I watched it the last time and I really enjoyed it again (3rd time if I’m not mistaken).
Haven't watched it with the so-called silent soundtrack, but will do so next time.
I believe I included beside Gravity these films: Apollo 13...
I haven’t seen Dune in IMAX because it’s not easy to get to see the movies in the original language in the first place let alone on the two IMAX screens in my town.
I've seen it on a regular screen which was beautiful as it was.
Btw, no HBOmax here in Germany. That means if I wanted to see the...
Mine too, it’s part of 12 movies (*) I like so much I’m not shy to buy them multiple times.
From all the Hitchcock movies it is one of the most often seen ones from childhood on.
To catch a Thief might be on par with that.
(*)
it spans from 1941's The Maltese Falcon to 2004's Garden State...
Welp, that didn’t go as planned.
I wasn’t able to watch any movie this month, not just Horror.
So I have to withdraw my participation for this year’s competition.
Bold part:
if he hadn’t been shot, they probably wouldn’t have said to him.
At the very beginning of the movie he seemed to be in his prime.
I don’t know how much time went by since he returned after the attack on MI6, but it should be a couple of months at least.
with all the rest you said I...
The Lynch movie has - at least for me - the problem that it has in the first, what, 15 minutes?, too much exposition before the actual story begins.
Referring to your spoiler:
I saw it yesterday.
Actually I didn’t even noticed the long running time.
I liked the movie, more than Spectre and QoS, about even with Skyfall.
Casino Royale is one of my favourites of all the Bond films.
Well, I live in Germany, but Leonberg is even for me a bit far off.
But if they’re showing the movie in 3D only (like with Dune) I wouldn’t be interested anyway.
