My Denon unit is not showing any indication of power on the front panel button, as in a red LED for standby mode. I have checked the power connections thoroughly. What could be wrong?

I just installed my new Oppo BDP-105D but the problem is that even with Darbee enabled in Settings and set on Hi-Def and the level set at 120% I cannot see any difference in the picture even when toggling between the various demo modes.

Unfortunately, I had thrown away the manual after opening the speaker boxes (how dumb). Luckily, I was able to figure out from the pdf download, that normally only the upper terminals are used. So, I did just that. And, even better, I looked at the back of the speaker, and it was all written...

I take my words back. I would not read any post comparing two subs to one as even remotely indicative of their abilities. This is not to say which is better or worse. I can only make a judgement when comparing one of each sub. If anyone has heard both subs they can make a better decision..

A real scientific test would involve two of each sub.

It does actually have something called MFB that post 106 at AVS says does something to make it sound better than the HSU on particular music tracks.

I use high end B&W speakers and an Arcam receivers so no lamp cord for me ! Sorry !!

The run is around 30 feet and the impedance is 4 ohms.

What difference is there between my present 18 or 16 gauge and 12 gauge in terms of the sound quality ?
