    Speaker Placement Question

Tweeters are on top. They are adjustable but I haven't messed with that. It sounds good to me and haven't had any complaints about sound seeming to come from above.

    Speaker Placement Question

So I ended up putting all 3 front speakers above the screen. I have to say I couldn't be happier with the decision. The bottom of each speaker is about 2" above the top of the screen. After using the Audyssey setup mic that came with the Dennon X1000, the sound is crisp and seems to come from...

    Speaker Placement Question

That sounds like a pretty cool idea. I bet the wife would go for that.

    Speaker Placement Question

Eye level is at 48". That'd put top of screen at 72.9". That leaves me 35.1" above the screen. So I'd have a little less than 2' from top of speaker to ceiling. Is there any concern for sound reflecting off the ceiling? I wouldn't think so if I had the tweeters pointed down towards the...

    Speaker Placement Question

I know it's not an optimal set up. I'm just going with what I have to work with. My wife doesn't want to see bulky speakers, so she agreed to in-walls. That leaves me with 2 options, above or below the screen. I was curious as to which would work better. I realize neither option is ideal...

    Speaker Placement Question

http://www.projectorcentral.com/epson_home_cinema_5030ub_projector_review.htm?page=Performance According to this, I can get all the way down to 287 lumens with low lamp THX mode. That gives me: (287 lumens*1.4 gain screen)/30.44 sq ft screen=13.2 fl

    Speaker Placement Question

Might be too bright for a fully darkened room. I will rarely, if ever, be using this set up in a fully darkened room. I've read that you want something in the 30's to battle ambient light.

    Speaker Placement Question

Don't plan on using it "on high". And it will be mounted at 13'.

    Speaker Placement Question

Didn't get an AT screen because this is a multi-purpose room without ideal lighting conditions. That's why I went with the BD.

    Speaker Placement Question

No, it will be going on the wall behind the TV sitting on the floor (3rd pic). That wall is 92". I could go with the wall behind the dumbbells (4th pic) but furniture placement is awkward with the diagonal wall on other side of room.

    Speaker Placement Question

So I finally did it! I went out and bought the following: Projector: Epson 5030UB Screen: BD Zero Edge 100" 1.4 gain Receiver: Denon X1000 Speakers: Sonance VP62 in-wall I need help choosing where to place LCR speakers. Screen is 88" wide and going on a 92" wide wall. Obviously there is...

    Will This Setup Work?

So I've gone 180 degrees on my setup. I've decided to put the projector in my living room. The room is 19x15 with 19' ceilings. It gets a good amount of light during the day, but with roller shades this will be reduced significantly. With the high ceilings and no side walls to contend with...

    Will This Setup Work?

I'm thinking about picking this up http://www.amazon.com/S4251w-B4-Soundbar-Wireless-Subwoofer-Satellite/dp/B00CDIK908/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1370003959&sr=8-2&keywords=vizio+5.1+surround+sound+system for my initial audio system. Mixed reviews, but it is pretty cheap and will get me started.

    Will This Setup Work?

Alright, I think I'm gonna go with the 100u and this screen http://www.amazon.com/electronics/dp/B000Q87LM6. I believe with a throw distance of roughly 16' I shouldn't have a problem lighting up the 125" screen. If that is pushing it, I could go with the 100". All I need now is to pick out an...

    Will This Setup Work?

If I were to hold off on the blinds over the double arch for now, and just put blinds on the 4 windows, do you think the screen would still work in that location?

    Will This Setup Work?

Ha, that sounds expensive. So you would go with roll down in front of the double arch over the 92" fixed frame on the 91" wall? My throw distance could go up to 16' for the double arch, which means I could increase screen size significantly. Any suggestions on an electric roll down screen...

    Will This Setup Work?

Glad to see my ignorance on this subject is not lost on you. Anways, I have added 4 photos of the room in question. This should help you understand what I am talking about. These photos were taken approximately at 5:15 pm central time. As you can see from the photos I have 4 windows to...

    Will This Setup Work?

I was actually fired once from a painting job because I am that awful at it. I would prefer to buy a screen. However, if I were to paint one I would use a plastic or MDF. Smoothing the wall is not an option, per my wife. Most of my viewing would be at night, except for the occasional...

    Will This Setup Work?

I got the 92" screen limit from this http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/electronics/detail-page/sc_b00934cp2k-03dimensions_lg.jpg. With a fixed frame Elite screen a 100" screen has an overall width of 91.9". I am not married to Elite screens though, that's why I am looking for...

    Will This Setup Work?

So you don't think the Panny AT-AR100u would work? From the reviews I've read, it does very well in rooms with ambient light. My only other option would be to convert my dinning room into a HT. I'm not sure it's big enough however (12x12), limiting my throw distance to max of 10'. I would...

    Will This Setup Work?

I've received the OK from the wife to buy a projector and setup a HT. The only problem is I don't have a room ideally suited to be a HT. I really only have 1 option: 1) Game room (14x18): This room is on the 2nd floor but is open on 2 sides to the 1st floor. It gets a good amount of ambient...
