I knew about RBE which is why I mentioned it. I was referring to Gregg's post re: convergence error and white field uniformity issues with lcd . I had never heard of that problem and was just wondering what it look like. I assume "convergence error" is where a pixel is not aligned correctly. Not...
I'm prejudiced but ViewSonic Pro8100 is a good buy if you can find one. A $5K PJ when released, can be had for under $1K now. If you want to know more, let me know.
Welcome to the forum. Size matters. I built a 110" screen for my PJ after realizing that the 90" just wasn't big enuf. Of course if you are really close to the screen, you can see the pixels but nobody sits that close to that big of a screen. Great for football, basketball, and movies.
Just found this forum after frequenting several other AV forums. Main interest is home theater. Currently using a ViewSonic Pro8100. Awesome PJ and will probably not upgrade 'til it quits or glasses-free 3D is perfected.
You can get a ViewSonic Pro8100 that started at $5,000 back around 2008 for $700-$800 now. Since I own two, I can attest to its value. There are two issues and if you're interested, let me know.
