Haha...no. I'm doing the 7.1 thing. Little guys up there are just surrounds. I was able to find the sweet spot for my sub too! Amazing what a difference that makes. Also, I built a box yesterday for my back seats. Now they can recline without a a vision issue.
For under 200 bucks, I could see saving my PS3 for gaming duties only too. Especially due to the fan noise. But anyways...... I did go with the Onkyo TX-NR515 7.2 so solve my 3D incompatibility. That will be here today and HOPEFULLY I can be done. I'll take a couple shots of my setup once wires...
I love this forum. I have never heard of BD players being different. So I did a little research on Blu Ray players to understand what you said schan1269. But I don't see any evidence of image quality improvement going from PS3 to a stand alone. In fact, PC mag still has it as editors choice for...
Oh, I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about a hdmi splitter type cable (which would be some sort of magic).:D I think I need to stick to my PS3 since we do the 3D gaming as well. New receiver seems to be the only viable option.
Da gumit! After an unsuccessful look for the magical twin cable, I'm ready to grab a receiver. You guys are great for helping me make decisions. My wife just gives me the deer in headlights look when I talk about this stuff. So this just means I'm axing the new speakers in favor of a new...

I am a sad monkey today. i received my first sets of 3d glasses and tried to test um. After 20 minutes of fiddling and trouble shooting I found the problem. My Pioneer Elite receiver is not 3d compatible.:( As least I was able to hook my PS3 directly to the projector so I could see 3d. Solutions...
Honestly, I just want to hear what I heard when I build my very first HT 17 years ago. I bartered with my neighbor who did commercial audio installations. That scored me 4 Elan surrounds, and a set of floor standing speakers(can't remember brand). All of these would have been too expensive...
Gotcha! Match those front 3. I actually own the center that came with the Yamaha's. But it just looks so pathetic, I couldn't put it in there. I'm thinking a couple DefTech fronts then since that's my favorite speaker in my system. BTW, my buddy emailed me today saying "what you need to do...
So...you're saying I should either do Yamaha center, or Definitive satellites? I could put all these in the bedroom, and just get something like the Energy Take 5.0 set in my price range. Is that what you're thinking?? BTW, thanks for taking the time...Happy New Year!
I'm done! Ok...I've always wanted a projector HT. Now I have one. Sure, I've had to mismatch speakers and such because I'm not Donald Trump. But I do have $500 left in my budget. I'm looking around at what I have. I'd like to put that $500 in somewhere. What would you change or upgrade...
