It's all in Spanish. Hardcover, 191 pages. Essays by the authors. Lots of photos, but nothing we haven;t seen before. The inside of the front and back covers show 64 poster images.
I have also heard of this and dismissed it as nonsense. Having said that it could be the kind of thing Peter and Omar could have done to amuse themselves.

It is to be hoped that Mr. Harris will use his influence to ensure that this important film scene will be preserved, restored and presented in some forthcoming dvd/blu-ray/4K edition of this magnificent film.
The scene occurs just after Lawrence says "They can only kill me with a golden bullit".
The turkish officers review a map on the wall and look at some photos on a table. One of the photos is of Lawrence.
Later when Lawrence is arrested Ali as well as the audience is quite worried that he will...
First saw Lawrence in Toronto February 1963. Saw it again later that summer. Noted that a lot had been cut out. Especially miss the Turkish Officers scene that as of today has still not been restored. RAH knows what I'm talking about.
Just saw Lawrence at the EYE Filmmuseum in Amsterdam. What a fabulous theater!!!
We saw the film on a huge screen, perfectly projected in 4K.

He turns to look at the...
]The footage in question was found.
Thus in theory, we could have had another deleted/never used scene from the film as an extra on the blu-ray disc.

Welcome, Mr. Paguet!
Of course, the sequence was shot. But I was never able to find any reference to it's being in the 222 cut of the film.
As an introduction to HTF members, Mr. Paquet has the finest collection of all things David Lean.

Glad to be here.

]I rember seeing Lawrence Of Arabia during its initial roadshow run early in 1963. Fantastic. I was so impressed I went back to see it again about a month later and was disappointed to see it had been seriously trimmed. Gone were the goggles, gone was the scene between Allenby and Brighton. Gone...
