I would be curious to hear Mr. Harris' opinion as to whether the BD version of MARNIE is due to print deterioration and if "there is probably nothing that Universal can do at this stage" as expressed by the DVD BEAVER reviewer.
Anthony,i believe some pages back that someone associated with this site indicated that Universal had stated that it would have no further comment regarding this matter.Unfortunately,it appears that we will have no way to determine what or was not fixed until the new sets are released.
For what it may be worth,despite how very badly i would like to own this set,yesterday i cancelled my pre-order of the UK " fancy packaging " version.I then sent an e-mail to Universal Studios to tell them why i did so.I am sure it was a futile gesture,(especially just having read the above...

Unfortunately,the extended cut of the film is on a separate disc which is standard definition only. I also heard the NPR review , and the reviewer indicated that in his opinion ,the Blu-Ray was suitable only for use as a coaster. i
