Anthony,i believe some pages back that someone associated with this site indicated that Universal had stated that it would have no further comment regarding this matter.Unfortunately,it appears that we will have no way to determine what or was not fixed until the new sets are released.

Unfortunately,the extended cut of the film is on a separate disc which is standard definition only. I also heard the NPR review , and the reviewer indicated that in his opinion ,the Blu-Ray was suitable only for use as a coaster. i u
