Michael Schlesinger (who used to work at Sony) was on Stu's Show about two weeks ago, and Stu Shostak (the host of the show) asked him for me about 1776 on Blu-Ray. He said it was possible to sub-license it to a company that has been releasing some of Sony's movies.
I would like to suggest a Special Edition release of E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial on Blu-Ray for release next year.
Here are my ideas:
Disc 1 would include the 1080p HD transfer of the 1982 theatrical version from this year's release, with English subtitles, scene selection menus, and a text...
I would like to see I Love Lucy on Blu-Ray, with all 179 episodes, 13 specials, the pilot, and "I Love Lucy: The Movie" in 1080p HD and unedited.
All the special features from the season sets should be included.
The original openings and closings should be included with the episodes.
New special...
Remember this, from Ethan Riley, in the previous version: "But a lot of people would like to see it, and that's what we should be working toward, not going back to square one due to a belief that it "can't be done." Because it can."
Also this quote from Ethan: "And by the way, need I point out...
Do you think "Happy Days" would be successful on Blu-Ray, since the lawsuit is over, and CBS has released related DVDs this year
(Fan Favorites: Happy Days (March), Laverne and Shirley: Season 5 (April), Father Dowling Mysteries (February and July))?
Remember, positive feedback, please?
Here is...
Here are my suggestions for special features:
Bob Newhart and the rest of the surviving cast should be involved in the special features.
For the Season 6 set, additional TV appearances from the cast should be included as special features.
Here is a list of those appearances:
"St. Elsewhere"...
What do you think about this idea? (More positive feedback, this time, please.)
To Shout! Factory:
I would like to suggest a Complete Series box set of Benson (1979-1986, 158 episodes, licensed from Sony).
All the episodes should be restored and remastered from the original film elements, and...
I wrote to James Finn from Fox Home Entertainment about Seasons 5/6 of The Bob Newhart Show, and here is his answer:
"Thanks for your continued interest. We are actually in talks with the studio on it. I can’t give a date at this time yet (as I don’t know it) but rest assured it will come out on...
Here are my reasons for this idea:
1) The original I Spy box sets are out of print,
2) Some of the prints are in rough shape, as some say, and so the show needs remastering,
3) There is a collection of archival footage that should be released with the show, and some new special features too...
What do you think about this idea as a Blu-Ray box set?
To CBS Home Entertainment:
I would like to suggest a Complete Series set of The Andy Griffith Show, with all episodes unedited and in high definition (and with the laugh tracks intact), all the episodes of Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., unedited...

Also, can you remember this from the I Spy thread: "I know that some of the sets being posted as "wish list" dvds are pie-in-the-sky. I'd say most, if not all, of us know that. But I think we can exercise some self-control and just let people share their dreams. That's all that's really...
Of course he was, I just wanted to make sure.
I actually know the trilogy may be coming to Blu-Ray next year (according to insider Bill Hunt and Warner Brothers).
"Believe it or not, after at least six postings of this, WHV has responded, and has announced an anniversary box set of all these films to these exact specifications. It is however a 50th anniversary set, and Warner has stipulated that it will be cancelled if this is reposted anytime between now...
Neil wrote this, about I Spy: "But its just not that popular a show to ever get the kind of release the OP suggests."
Actually, I Spy does have a good-size fan base, look at these websites:

Here is Shout! Factory's description, and then my explanation for this set:
Shout! Factory is a diversified entertainment company devoted to producing, uncovering and revitalizing the very best of pop culture. Shout! Factory’s DVDs offer classic, contemporary and cult TV series, riveting sports...

I trust a certain insider ("No plans for BD set this year because sales don’t justify it but there will be a new DVD set this year. Possibly next year if the DVD set sells well.") more than this post: "Believe it or not, after at least six postings of this, WHV has responded, and has announced...
The last post was a joke, right?
Actually, an insider, who is a friend of this website, heard from them, and told me this: "No plans for BD set this year because sales don’t justify it but there will be a new DVD set this year. Possibly next year if the DVD set sells well."
So the Blu-Ray set...
