I have to agree with both of you...I just bought and installed the 2030 and it is a dream come true! Especially after trying for 8+ hrs to get a denon to work for me....this unit had crisp clear video and top notch audio...I heard my surrounds fire off for the first time today. Couldn't be...
I need to know how to assign my speakers in a 9 channel receiver...i have the following:rti 8 (2 towers)CSI a6. This I know is the center channelfxia6. Bipole/dipole. (2)rti 6. (2 bookshelf)I need to know which would be fronts, sides, etc
Just need some feedback on what you like/dislike about it....is it worth the money and if you've experienced any issues with video from your tv, thanks.
Network usage and upscaling I guess. I don't care about the simplicity of the menus. I have had issues with connecting to my router with this blu ray....Everything else (Kindle, Laptop, etc) have no problem connecting. Tech support is not the greatest either.
I have a Samsung BDC-6500 Blu Ray running on a Sharp Aquos Quattron tv. I am purchasing a Yamaha RX-a1030 receiver. Is there a better Blu Ray out there? I have a 1080p tv (not 3d).
Are these receivers pretty similar? I got a defective denon and am exchanging it for the Yamaha...just wondering if the sound is going to be comparable. I'm running Polk RTI 8's, CSI a6 center, FXi a6 surrounds and RTI 6 fronts...all rated at 8 ohm
I got the tech support to walk me through setting it up, then later that night when playing a BR disc it lost video, then came back on...I never got the video back 100%. So I called tech support again, they had me test all the hdmi connections but came to the conclusion the Denon was...
I will try this...I noticed last night that the ipod (connected directly to the denon through the front usb port) worked fine. But everything else was playing through the tv only...when I turned down the speakers on the Aquos, I didn't get any audio on the denon at all (tv or BD).
What does DD...
My equipment is as follows:
Denon 3313
Dish satellite
Samsung BR
Sharp Aquos tv
Polk RTI 8's x 2 fronts
Polk Fxi 6 x 2 rear surrounds
Polk CSi a 6 x 1 (center channel)
Polk Rti 6 x 2 (L & R surrounds)
Polk sub
I hooked up the denon and ran audyssey and it sounds worse than what I had...
I tend to disagree about it being the speakers only cause I heard them hooked up to a denon before I bought them and the sound was 100% better....so if not wattage maybe the way an individual receiver reproduces the sound? if everyone is pretty sure about the polks I'd love to hear...
I want to upgrade my pioneer VSX-1021...there is simply not enough wattage and it sounds too bright. I am looking at the Denon 4311 ci, Yamaha RXA-3030, or the Onkyo TX-NR-3010. Which of these would sound the best? I have Polk RTi-8's, with blackstone surrounds (which I hate) and would...
I've done some more research and was wondering which of these two models would best match my current setup: FXI a6 (6 1/2 inch surround speakers) Rti bookshelf speakers I currently have the blackstone package (TL2600) and the RTI 8's. I am going to upgrade the center channel to CSI A6 though so...
I have to agree with your assessment of cd quality; i was raised on vinyl and am seriously thinking of buying a high end turntable....i do have a cheap usb turntable but nothing beats the sound you got on the older models, i dont know why they think digital is a step up:confused:
Ok i recalibrated everything with MACC; it sounds much better now. I will also check the crossover setting and see if that is in the correct range. I still want to get the large center (csi a6) and the bookshelf speakers to round out the system. The only problem I have now is I accidentally...
Thanks...can you explain a little more about crossover and what it's used for? I'm not sure about the setting..I will have to look at it again. I think I am going to start over with the MACC and see what I can do. I will copy over the current settings before I do...thanks so much for your help.:D
I've set up my Pioneer VSX 1021-k with 2x Polk RTI A8 floor speakers, and Polk Blackstone TL2600 speakers (4 satellite, 1 center, 1 sub) and listened to music (via Ipod), movies and tv. My main issue so far is the quality of the sound, or rather the type of sound I'm getting. Everything seems to...
Thanks! I forgot to ask...how should the channel levels be set? for example, if the front speakers are 7db, would the back speakers be the same (or more or less)? What is the best combination?
I think mine are all working now:D I moved the 2 rear speakers as suggested. I just had a question about how high the channel levels are really supposed to be....is 7db too high? Also, how do you adjust the treble and bass on this receiver? The manual says there is a control but it's not on any...
Thanks for your advice...I'm going to check to see where they are connected. Do I need to run the calibration again if they are connected to the wrong input?
Ok i played around with the buttons on the remote this morning and nearly got blasted out of the house. I hit the channel level button and raised the level on all speakers to 7db. So now the center and front speakers are working great but still nothing out of the back ones. Should I just remove...
Last Christmas we were torn between a mitsubishi dlp or the aquos quattron 60". We settled on the Aquos and are both extremely happy with it. DLP's have lamps that will burn out and need to be replaced. The aquos is an led edge lit tv (longer life) and the colors (so vibrant) will blow you away...
Ok I hooked this up for the first time last night and I have to admit this sounds worse than my old Phillips theater in a box that I replaced! There has to be something wrong with the way i setup. The Polk speakers sounded so good in the store and they were only hooked up to a Denon receiver (no...
