Final tally: 21 feature length films, 1 short film, and 8 tv episodes. 19 of those films were first time viewings.
Now for my meaningless awards(first time viewings only):
Biggest Letdown: Halloween II - Halloween was a film that was great beyond it's genre. I enjoyed II but it was far from...
Computer croaked so I've been out of the loop the last few days. Since my last post I've seen 3 films can't remember the dates of two of them.
The Witches (1990) C
An ok family film. Not good or bad imo.
Vampires (1998) B
Expected bad things but I actually enjoyed this one quite a...

The Wasp Woman (1959) D
10/21
Carrie (2013) B
A remake and an adaptation from Stephen King's book, this film was decent..not as good as I was hoping it to be, but an ok film nonetheless. I liked a few of the supporting actors. Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore gave ok performances. I like...

Tales from the Crypt: For Cryin' Out Loud
A greedy rock promoter tries to steal the money raised at a benefit concert when his conscience intervenes.
Tales from the Crypt: Judy, You're Not Yourself Today
A housewife stressed out by her husbands reckless behavior welcomes an elderly...

Bats (1999) D
Mutated bats begin hunting people in a small Texas town. The camera shots were quite shaky in the this film making it hard to focus without getting a headache, but that wasn't the only thing in this film that could cause headaches. John Logan, the screenwriter, has...

Earnest Scared Stupid (1991)
I've seen this one many times. It has a great halloween atmosphere to it. The troll was pretty scary when I was younger.
Tales from the Crypt
"Til Death"
A land owner (D.W. Moffett) woos a haughty, rich woman with a potion from a voodoo priestess (Janet Hubert) that...
Gammera the Invincible (1966) C
Another film that was on the Creature Feature dvd. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The special effects for the time were decent. The only thing that I thought was really silly was the ending, which I won't spoil incase anyone hasn't seen it.
First...
Spider Baby (1964) B
Spider Baby was a pleasant surprise that I was glad to see, especially after seeing a few duds this month. The story is about a brother and sister who go to their distant relatives house in order to take control of the property and family fortune. The only living relatives...
Psycho (1960) A
Great movie...no explanation needed.
Horror of the Zombies (1974) F
Poor movie all the way around. If nothing happens in a film it doesn't equate to being suspenseful. Stalling appears to be a recurring theme with most of the films I've rated pretty low.
First time viewings are...
The Willies (1990) D
Three kids are camping in the backyard telling scary stories. It's sort of like a movie anthology that features two main stories after the title appears. It's mostly corny throughout the film, but there are a few bright moments here and there. Overall it's a pile of...
Horrors of Spider Island (1960) F
A German film dubbed into English. It's about a talent agent and some dancers who crash land near an island. The talent agent is attacked by a weird looking spider and then starts developing a spider-like appearance on his face and eventually kills 3 people...

The Creeping Terror (1964) F
A film about some alien slug-like creatures who land on earth and one of them very sssllloowwllyy attacks the humans, who apparently can't walk or crawl away due to their sheer terror.
It's interesting to read about the development of the film and how the...

The Cabin in the Woods (2012) B
A horror movie made with no intentions of being scary, mostly intended to poke fun at the cliches in the genre. The trailer initially threw me for a loop.

Tales from the Crypt 2. "Dig That Cat...He's Real Gone"
Tales from the Crypt 3. "Collection Completed"
A couple of questions to those who have seen Halloween II several times. I...
I'm in it again this year. So far, the last two years my numbers have been rather unimpressive, reaching 11 movies in 2011 and only 9 in 2012. If I watch everything I have on the dvr and the titles I purchased, I'll have approximately 26 titles to watch, excluding titles I've already seen.

Friday the 13th (1980)
Camp counselors are stalked and murdered by an unknown assailant while trying to reopen a summer camp that was the site of a child's drowning.
Jack Frost (1997)
A serial killer dies, comes back as a snowman, and wreaks havoc.
Scrolled through netflix late last night and wanted to watch a short film. Saw the cover of this movie and thought it would be pretty decent...well it was a little different than I expected. It was campy to...
Zombieland (2009)
A shy student trying to reach his family in Ohio, and a gun-toting tough guy trying to find the Last Twinkie and a pair of sisters trying to get to an amusement park join forces to travel across a zombie-filled America.
This one was a nice surprise. Not scary, but lots of fun.
Corpse Bride (2005)
When a shy groom practices his wedding vows in the inadvertent presence of a deceased young woman, she rises from the grave assuming he has married her.
Work's making it hard to watch several films. Hopefully I'll have more time in a week or so.
The Last House on the Left (1972)
A pair of teenage girls are headed to a rock concert for one's birthday. While trying to score marijuana in the city, the girls are kidnapped by a gang of psychotic convicts.
I agree. It's especially creepy for first time viewers...expecting jump scenes literally every second with that type of music.
One thing I noticed a couple of times at the beginning of the film was the helicopter during the aerial shots. During one part you can see the shadow of the...
The Shining (1980)
A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future.
Decided to start out with this one. Didn't get around to watching...
