Hi David I bought the Harmony 300 and it is working good, there is a tv guide button :) i can't seem to find if the 300 has a timer capability or do i have to upgrade to a better model ?

I just remembered i had a universal before and i had a problem, i use cable provider box and remote control to search channels , this could be a problem with the harmony

Wow that is quite the remote, maybe overkill, i found a Logitech for 30 no screen display

Thanks Adam I never had any luck with universal remotes, i just want all units to turn off, i know it can be done by setting each component i just wanted one to override the reat

My brother just gave me two Energy bookshelf speakers i will see if they work better, the sub is working just too loud

I think the model up 95 came with a sub, i have found one on Kijiji just waiting hear back, would placement of the speaker be causing a issue

Thanks Jason Yes things are 1000 times better, yes i have the sub at the lowest level, it is Electrohome i bought it at a second hand store, so i have to buy a sub that is meant for my Panasonic ?

I disconnected all other speakers, i don't see Dolby or 5.1 mentioned any where, you can change the type of sound, clear, disco etc, i tried them all and still nothing out of the centre speaker, the jack for the centre speaker is straight forward, the wire has a sticker on the wire that says 5...

I think i found the problem, i had the speaker wires in the wrong place, i moved the left and right to the ports at the end of the unit, one think tho i don't hear sound from the centre speaker

You what i just noticed i am not even getting sound from the stereo part of home theatre , i should at lease be hearing hissing ?

I just moved my home theater player onto a stand, when i re hooked it up i am not getting sound from the , when i play a movie the speakers work fine so can i assume it is not a speaker problem but a RCA cable problem? TVconnection 001.jpg (151k. jpg file)
