So in order to set this up, i'd need the speakers as well as that amplifier. Could I possibly also hook up a subwoofer to it? I assume it would connect via speaker wire and nothing else?

The DTA-1 say's it's a 30 watt amplifier. Does that mean that out of the 120 watt speakers, I will only get 30 watts through that amp? or 150 watts?

Yes it is a fireplace mantle. We moved in a little over a month ago and have yet to use the fireplace. Chances are we will use it very little due to the fact that the TV is above it. I appreciate the links and will look deeper into them shortly. As for the reciever you linked me...
